New York Subway System under threat!

I ride the NYC subways every day (including 9/11, 9/12 and every day since then). I think the media loves to hype this stuff to bolster their ratings. You have more chance of getting killed crossing the street in NY then being blown up by a baby carriage in the subway. Just my opinion, but you have to go on with your life, with your eyes and ears open. We can't let terrorists change the way we live.

I'm in Jersey City, about a block from the river and right near the PATH Station. tok the LIRR, the NYC subway and the PATH to work today, as I do every day. I saw a huge increase in police presense today.

I'm sure any terrorists in the area saw it too.

last July, right after London, there was an increase in police. after a few weeks, many of those officers were reassigned.

if there's going to be a problem, it won't happen while we're all on edge, it will happen in a few weeks, when we relax.

whatever. can't live my life in fear. caution, yes. fear, no.

I work across the street from Penn Station. The police have closed off part of the station--I can see the Amtrak entrance from my window and it is closed right now. There are police EVERYWHERE.

I have to agree with this. DH and family ride the subways everyday. DH from Brooklyn to the Bronx and back. The Subway runs basically right under our house. I can't spend everyday worried about it. I'd make myself crazy.
