New York or Disney

I love NY. I just got back on Sunday and even after being stranded with 2 cancelled flights, I'm ready to go back. I want to go in October with some friends but it is so expensive the week after Columbus Day. I can spend a week at WDW for less than 4 nights in NYC. Granted, we aren't looking at cheap hotels but $369 plus tax for the Hampton Inn seems a little steep. (I just stayed there last week for $219.)

NYC or WDW...I'll procrastinate this one until A.) everything is booked or B.) I luck into a great deal in NYC.

I'm gonna say Disney is better.

DH and I are going in to the City for a full day next month. We only live about 2 hours away (1 hour and 45 minutes by train). One day is suffiecient for us and we have plans on going down to South Street Seaport.

NY is only a 30 minute train ride for me so we go there quite a bit. October is a pretty time in NY. What would you want to do in NY then?

Bang for the buck, I would go for Disney. I went twice last year and will readily admit that I prefer a more relaxing vacation in Disney. NYC just seems so rush rush all the time

If I could travel without my kids, I'd pick NYC. Post a question about other hotel options. There are lots of knowledgeable people here who can give you good advice.

Ahh... NYC & WDW my two favorite places!!! I agree that hotels are outrageous in NYC but I've gotten some 'fairly' good deals at the Millenium Hilton (across from WTC site)... I think $199 a night last time I went with free breakfast (and they have an indoor pool to relax in after all that walking!)
