New York! New York! Me too!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness! I'm so excited!
I didn't post until we'd actually got the flights but we booked the tickets on-line yesterday through opodo and the tickets arrived today and we go mid October!

We are going to a wedding so first two nights will be taken up with attending wedding celebrations which leaves 3 days for sightseeing and seeing friends - not long really but I'm determined to squeeze in as much as possible! ( Been reading all the tips Astrid has on her New York thread!!)

To be honest I'm a little worried about the flight - the best deal and the flight which suits us best timewise is with American Airlines - I've just put American Airlines through the search and come up with a rather negative thread....... anyone flow with them recently?

Anyway, notwithstanding the flight, I'm really excited!!!

Shirley, I've always been OK with American. They have more leg room, and I've found their counter help to be among the least obnoxious of the American carriers (now doesn't that give you a warm fuzzy). Truthfully, with all the cutbacks, carriers going under, and security issues, times have never been more stressful for airline employees. Flying is just no fun anymore.

But I wish yous lot would stop goin on about New York and stuff. V came home with a brochure on a holiday to WDW,Vegas and New York yesterder and hasn't stopped witterin about it! I don't know where she thinks the debts comin from.

So excited for you all - I'm sure I flew with American Airlines years back on my first trip to Orlando and I had no complaints.

Er........ well......... we haven't booked anywhere to stay yet LOL!!! We are trying to tie in with some of the other wedding guests - particularly the Florida relis - so that we stay in the same hotel! However, I won't last out much longer - if they don't make their minds up by Tues/Wed, I shall book something!
