:cool1: What are the dining specials for New Year’s Eve at WDW? Has anyone rung in the New Year at the California Grill? Any other recommended places? :cool1:

From one Diser to help another Diser:

If you plan on eating there on NYE, you need to make sure that the moment your ADR window opens, you call and make the ressy. You will be competing to get that ADR with everyone else wanting it..........trust me.

Just make sure you are on the ball with it. Dont think you can wait.

We did not check in until Jan 1 this year, but what an amazing New Years we had. I called three days before and got advance ADRs for NY eve at Ft Wilderness Buffet. We drove into the resort and parked, had an excellent meal at 9:00 pm -- WOW! It was one of the better meals we had during our week! We walked down to the docks after dinner and took the launches and visited Poly and Grand Floridian. It was beautiful! We then timed out return for about 11:45 and when we got near Ft Wilderness, they announced that all the Disney fleet would take a break during fireworks, so to get off at Ft Wilderness if we didn't want to get stuck out on the lake. We stayed on the launch and watched the fireworks from the lake at Disney! They were charging people $75 per person for a "fireworks cruise" and we enjoyed them for free!

Wow, that sounds great, we will be there this year and will bear this in mind :cool1:

We were there this past NYE and our biggest suggestion is to make ADRs early and for all meals that day if you plan to be in the parks. Counter service locations were WALL TO WALL at Epcot by 7 pm and many locations ran out of some normal items on their menu (eg the Japan counter service location did not have miso soup anymore). We found by eating at "off time" (lunch at 3:30 or so) that we could manage the crowds and snack between times.
