New Year's Eve Waitlist Success

I had reserved a standard view studio at the BWV for New Year's week. The only night I couldn't get the standard room was New Year's eve. We would have had to move on New Year's eve then move again the next day. Obviouly this would have been really hard to do when the parks fill up to capacity so quickly.

Well we received the call from Disney this week that the wait list came through and we now can stay in the same room without moving for the entire week.

What a relief!!!! If this wait list request can come through, almost anything can. This was a really tough one to get and I really didn't think I stood much of a chance.

I wonder if the cancellations are due to members deciding to use their points on the members cruise...oh well..no way to find out...but just a thought..

We reserved at the 11 month window a little after 9 in the morning. Standard view was already gone. So it took from February 1 until now for it to happen.

This is our first New Year's trip too. Should be fun. A lot more fun now that we don't have to change rooms.

Congratulations on the waitlist coming through! That's great!

I had the same experience! Called at the 11-month window day by day, trying to reserve a BWV standard studio. Got through at 9:05 on the day I was trying to get the NYE reservation, but all the standard studios were already gone. Went on the waitlist for the 31st, as well as the 30th. Happily, the 30th came through very quickly, and NYE came through for me a couple months ago.

So maybe we'll see you around the Boardwalk! We'll be there Dec. 28-Jan. 4. Can't wait!

Haven't received a call yet. We reserved at the 11-month mark, at 9:03 am, and was able to get all nights but NYE in standard view. Recently cancelled my room for Jan. 1, though(our backwards school schedule has my kids returning on the 2nd!) Glad it came through for you, hoping it works out for me, and not looking forward to changing rooms!
