Is it possible to book a dinner on new year's eve, in one of the parks?

We ate at CRT last time we went over new years but I was ready and waiting for the time to book the very second they were available.

You are correct. Very expensive. (The every day coffee and eating out dollars go into a special jar in the house for our Disney events like this and tours.) We attended this wonderful evening of celebration at the California Grill five years ago. Yet as the days tick bye we think this may be yet another cancelled event. We planned on Party of the Senses last year and it was cancelled as it was again this year. And tours have not returned.

I was looking at restaurants in Epcot on NYE and they seem to show closing at 7pm that night. What normally happens that day, I would have thought they would have been happy to have people eating dinner much later than 7pm!

I will hold out hope that they will have some special NYE package?
Right now we are booked for a very early Brown Derby ... was hours too slow because my 60 day window opened at 6am yesterday and I got sidetracked w Halloween stuff!

Might the early close time denote a special evening event to be announced soon for NYE? Cali Grill has no reservations for NYE. As previously shared, we hope this means the party at Cali is in the works.

Some dinners after 7pm were released for 31st December this morning, I saw one time slot at Chefs de France and the Italian restaurants, I presume by the time I saw it a lot had already been taken because it was not exactly widespread availability!!

The 2019 dinner at Cali Grill for NYE was $675/head. Just to give the original poster context.

Some dinners after 7pm were released for 31st December this morning, I saw one time slot at Chefs de France and the Italian restaurants, I presume by the time I saw it a lot had already been taken because it was not exactly widespread availability!!

Unfortunately, everything is sold out. Even the Disney hotels are difficult to book We would like to have dinner at the Magic Kingdom...but, it's impossible! If we try to call, the waiting line, is 2 hrs; the 'chat' does not work...by email, they take 4 or more days to answer...... I am disappointed at Disneyland Orlando.

We are booked through Open Table at Big River Grille. I figure it gives us some flexibility if we need to cancel.
