Hello All,

So I've always wanted to experience NYE in Disney and have finally taken the plunge...Kind of think I may be slightly metal haha!

Can somebody tell me when I can reserve a table for dining in the evening? We'll be in the main park on that day and doubt we'll be able to leave the park to go to Cafe Mickey will we?

When do the menus and prices come out for special occasions? I can't seem to find any info online and know I'm going to have to do some serious saving as well as get in there early!

Also, I know it's going to be MEGA busy, I've bought a VIP fastpass...Will we still face really long queues?

Thanks so much for any/all help xxx

:thumbsup2

PS, we are a family of 5...2 adults and 3 children aged 10, 6 and 1 x

It will be packed, my friend went a couple of years back & said whilst she is glad she went she would never go that time of year again & you could hardly move for the people. So I think some of the fastpass queues will be busy

Most of your table service can be booked 180 days out of the day you will be going to that resturant. I agree with tennisfan, my family and I went about 4 years ago the week between christmas and new years and we were at MK on new years eve. It was soooooooo crowded that we left at 10:30 that nite because it just was not worth it. When we left you could not go down main street because of the crowd, cast members redirected us thourgh tomorrow land and through a parking area that came out at the enterance. Never, never again will we go for new years. Good Luck!

Oh dear!

I kind of knew from lurking that it would be manic but feel a little scared now haha!

Oh well, what's done is done, can't change it...Thanks to you both for your imput :thumbsup2 :flower3:

I think FTWILDCMPR00 is referring to WDW :)

You can only book up to 60 days in advance at DLP although if you're on a package you should be able to already add one of these special meals (at special prices) to it, see page 93 on the brochure here.

Not all restaurants hike their prices up for New Year's Eve - Cafe Mickey will still be the regular menu and so should all the restaurants that aren't listed on that page.

I think you'd be able to leave the park to go to Cafe Mickey earlier on in the day/late afternoon although I don't think I'd risk it in the evening just in case the park reaches capacity and you can't be readmitted. Although were you planning on being in the main park for midnight? I've not been for New Year's Eve myself but have read reports from others on here that it gets so crowded on Main Street that you literally can't move and I'm not really sure how easy you'll find it with your two younger children. Are you staying in a Disney hotel? I think if it was me I'd spend the day in the park (the VIP fastpasses should be a great help), book an evening meal at Cafe Mickey, then get an early night and be one of the first in the park the next morning with EMH because hopefully the park will be empty for quite a while as the late night revellers will still be sleeping!! :rotfl2: Goodness, don't I sound like one big party-pooper! :guilty:

Thanks Ware Bears,

We're not staying at Disney, we're staying in Explorers Hotel so have the aded nightmare of trying to get back afterwards :scared1:

I think Cafe Mickey might be the way forward...Would love to be in the park for the fireworks but I just don't think it'll be do-able...That way we miss the mad rush out as well, and can hopefully have a lovely evening as a family back at our hotel. I'm still so excited though :yay:

Thanks again everyone, I just CAN NOT wait Xx
