I hate to say it, but have been on so many cruises lately, I haven't had time to write any trip reports. I've been on 5 since October 21st. Going back on the Wonder next Sunday for 4 days.

We have so much planning to do and talk about. Should be lots of fun.

That's a good thing to say!

My trips tend to be land trips...I leave after six more sleeps :woohoo:

Have you done the seven day western before?

I have this cruise booked also.

Right now I am a solo - one of my friends might be joining me. I'll find out shortly.

I also have the Christmas Cruise booked so it will be a B2B.

There is a possibility that I might transfer the Christmas cruise to another date.

I don't believe that I have cruised with any of you so far

WELCOME!!!! B2B....wow that sounds VERY COOL!!!!

Hey Nan - What do you think of Hillarycare??!?!
Hehe - just kidding. popcorn::

Oh I so agree (tho' in a completely different across-the-pond-kinda-way)... ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

No knock intended to national health care. I know it works for many and a couple of years ago when my mom passed out at the bus stop on our vacation in London I was so very grateful to have her ambulance ride and total care at the ER covered. Not a bill to us for a cent. So I'm personally grateful for that "gift" from the state of UK. I feel strongly that if you don't care for the services that your government provides and you can opt to look to live where you can get more services then move. I know that may sound harsh, but to me complaining about a government not offering you everything for "free" (that's my hot button) is just plain greedy.

We had a busy and sad weekend. My mom's little dog, Rikki, a 4 year old daschund had to be put to sleep. She had a rapid decline and on Thursday was dragging her rear end (when to the vet got some prednisone) the next morning she was completely paralyzed, the vet then said it was a genetic disc problem, they could do surgery $5K and she would have a ?% chance of recovery (not sure if she even would quote what chance to my sister since it was so small) and then is she did make it she would have HUGE therapy (which my mom since she is in her dementia state couldn't do, as she couldn't remember to do it., let alone give her medicine (we have mom's med brought to her daily) and I can't even begin to think of the accident in the house issue) So we had to put the dog to sleep on Friday. My mom is very sad, as this dog was a "gift" to her from my dad so she would have a companion (he knew he was not going to live much longer)

All this happened on the day of our 11th wedding anniversary. Very sad, a hard way to remember that day going forward. :sad2:

We also had some good stuff happen too, the kids danced last night at Sons of Norway and I'll post some pictures later. Paul and I had a romantic dinner at a wonderful french resturant, Le Papillon

http://www.lepapillon.com/aboutus/index.html

and the kids when over night to friends so we had ALONE time :-)

My sister, mom and I went to my nephew's wife's baby shower Saturday morning. She is due 2/1/08 :-)

Then we went to Enchanted!!! It was wonderful.

So even though it was a sad weekend with the loss of Rikki we had moments of joy and laughter. The circle of life....

Omg Nan...just seems that your Mom (& therefore) you sure have had a rough time these past few months - rougher than most anyway...but glad to see/hear that you're handling it SO VERY well & doing some great things to offset the not so great~
Well we may go get our tree today...but right now i'm doing some photo editing AND trying to buy some decent tickets to see Bon Jovi in April at the HP Pavillion in San Jose...appears the only thing left is side stage seats :-(
arrrgghhh - where was when these went on sale?????? oh yeah..carmel...so guess i missed my ticketmaster notification....
:sad1:

Welcome, Kay!

Nan, both of my sister's doxes became paralyzed, and the dogs weren't blood related. The first one was put to sleep, the second one is in a doggie wheelchair and wears a diaper! Maybe it's a breed thing?:confused3

Kay, thanks for all the happy birthday messages you do everyday! It looks like it takes a lot of time, and it's appreciated!

Good morning cruise friends,
I'm in my car doing my bills. Chad was working on a paper for school all weekend, so he's sleeping in today, not going in to work. I just dropped Jesse off at school. It's a sunny cool day here in NYC, more like autumn than winter. We got some snow yesterday, but it's all gone already.

I hope my Creative Memories Digital Scrapbook softeware comes today, because I may have a client! My sister who lives upstate asked me to do a scrapbook for her to give to her inlaws for Christmas, and she said she'll pay me $100! If she agrees to digital, then we have a deal! I want to get it done asap so that she can show her friends, and maybe I can get some more customers. I'm also going to do an 8X8 storybook for my neice, and I'm hoping that will also get me some business. I did a few of these years ago when I got my first computer, and I made some decent spending money, so I hope this will be the new start to a little business for me. Thanks to Brenda for getting my creative juices flowing again!

Debbie, are you still here with us? I miss you!

Hello to our cruise lurkers. C'mon, let's chat!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Magic Matey's,

I'm still with you and reading all your posts starts my day of great.

Aisling & Grimm, belated Happy Birthday.

I may be going single on the cruise as well. I have run away from home but I'm hoping that this shake-up will cause some changes. If not, I still plan on going on the cruise and hopefully my older son and his girlfriend will want to go with me.

Wow Debbie, be strong, stay calm, and take care of yourself! I'll probably end up partner-less on the cruise, too, and I'd be happy to be your cruise BFF!

Sorry to hear you've had to leave again Debbie...

he must be a real challenge to live with :(

We're still here for ya~
