I wish, but not today darling...John is leaving to get his mom tonight, I already got my job list for the weekend. I was up at the crack of dawn so John could get a work truck to move her.

I would expect your package to arrive soon, maybe you can relive the cruise while making your scrapbook. I go to Disney in my head all the time ;)

Happy Birthday Grim!!!

I am so sorry you guys won't be cruising, you're still going to Disney next month aren'cha?

Going to take a nap after the carpet guys have gone. I usually hate carpet because of the fibers breathing in, but the basement lower apartmernt is going to be cozy because of it. so ok I ;like it there.

Britt just told me when I do come up next she has to come up with me~

I just got home, got everything done I had to...I bought myself a Christmas present today ;) I've been wanting a small tripod for me cameras, the monopod really doesn't help much with the "shake." I got a gorillapod knockoff. It's a short, rediculously flexible, tripod.

OMG how amazing! I love my conservatory slate floor - spent ages looking for it and enjoy it every day... :thumbsup2

...people believe that a state sponsored maternity benefit was not a tax, when you have a liability to pay into it. And that since I don't like to be taxed for such benefits that I clearly must have defunked family values. Whatever... I'm sticking with my conservative values and I'll pay my own way thank you. (just wish everyone else would too!)...
Oh I so agree (tho' in a completely different across-the-pond-kinda-way)... ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Grim, sorry to hear I won't meet you in the flesh so to speak! And Happy Belated Birthday to you... :goodvibes

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday...

Yesterday we went to eldest DS's graduation. This took place in the historic Canterbury Cathedral. If you're interested here's a link to more info courtesy of Wikipedia... :goodvibes It was a fantastic experience to spend time in the cathedral - I was imagining how it would've felt prior to electricity when it would've been candlelit...

Anyway, back to the graduation - weather was shocking and, by the time it finished, it was too dark to take photos of my beautiful son in his robes. He's had a formal photo taken so just got to wait to see that! ;) It was a long old ceremony and Matt won a prize (tho' we know not for what) which was rather exciting!

Congratulations to Matt!! (and the proud parents.)

That's a beautiful Church!

The closest I've ever been to one like that is St Patrick's Cathedral in NYC...

Aisling??? You ok today darling?

Brenda, enjoy your day...

Happy Saturday Magic Mateys...

John and Adrian left to pick up my MIL in SC today. I expect them back late tomorrow night (I hope.) My job today is to get a rental garage for her kayrap. I still gotta buy my park tickets for next week, guess I should do that today too huh?

bbl Y'all

Good afternoon!

Thanks for the birthday well-wishes.:goodvibes I'm feeling fine, having slept off the effects of my liquid birthday celebration!

Kaz, many congratulations on Matt's graduation. I checked out the cathedral link, and wow, it's stunning. What a memorable place for a graduation! Did you find out what his award was for???

Tig, good luck with MIL. Whatever the situation, you're doing the decent thing. I hope she finds a place of her own soon so that her presence won't interfere with your FIL. He sounds like a sweet man.

Last night, we went to see the Rockafeller tree, and it always takes my breath away. Beautiful. NYC is so beautiful and festive at Christmastime, I love it.

I'm listening to the Illuminations music, and it's putting me in a dreamy mood, so I think I need some Zippitty Doo Dah to get me into cleaning mode.

Chad bought me Terry Irwin's book Steve and Me, and I know I'm going to cry when I read it, but she's such a strong woman and I hope to learn a thing or two from her. I was so so sad and shocked when Steve was killed, and the first thing I thought of was how was Terry going to make it through. Theres is a story of true love if there ever was one.

Brenda, have fun at your CM event!

And Jill, no fair making fun of the drunk lady!:lmao:

Thank you, milady! Don't know what the award was for - apparently he's gotta give the Uni a call on Monday...

I've only been to NYC in winter - once in early December (1999) with a friend to celebrate her 40th and we had the best time. We stayed at the Marriott Marquis on Times Square and took photos of the tree at the Rockefeller Centre... Then we went for Sophie's 18th (2000) and stayed till New Year (also in the Marriott) - it snowed crazily overnight on our first evening and was so beautiful! Other times were in January. First time was back in 1995 - I left the kids with a nanny and flew over on my own to meet up with DH who was there on business. We stayed at the Royalton and had a wonderful time - it was the first time I had ever travelled independently and I loved it. I brought the kids over one time (January 1997) to meet up with Dick and we stayed at the Gramercy Park Hotel - not our best visit as we discovered poor Sammy had chicken pox so decided to cut our US visit short and head back to Paris...

I can't believe I haven't been for 7 years! That's crazy!!! :sad2:

I have this cruise booked also.

Right now I am a solo - one of my friends might be joining me. I'll find out shortly.

I also have the Christmas Cruise booked so it will be a B2B.

There is a possibility that I might transfer the Christmas cruise to another date.

I don't believe that I have cruised with any of you so far
