Good Morning all....sure wishing that DH might have made the coffee & set it to begin at 4:30....but he didn't so i'm waiting....& its starting to take too long to brew - so think Santa will be bringing the Tsudas a new coffee maker....
;)
Nan - the dress for Molly is cute...but TBH there was one you (or was it Aisling) had found awhile back that i really liked for her....

so i think i can sit & read & drink my coffee till 7 - then i guess it's time i remember today is Thanksgiving Day & get in to gear :)
Have a great day

Nan, I love that dress for Molly, as it isn't little-girlish. Brenda, I'm, going to look through this thread to see if I can find that other dress you're talking about. I'm not cooking today, so have time all morning to Dis!

The parade is on, and wow it's fun to watch. My kids have no interest in going over to the parade.:sad2:

Last night, I saw The Mist, which is based on a Stephen King novella. It was fantastic! :thumbsup2 Gory at parts, but not gratuitously. It was very well done, a psychological suspense which will make you think about what YOU would do in that situation, especially at the end!

Happy happy Thanksgiving Day to all! Eat, drink, and be merry!!!!!!

Morning Aisling....just missed you on the Threadkiller's....i'm pretty much done / ready for the day....putting the prime rib in at 10ish....so have a couple hours till then...going to get more coffee & go watch the parade...i'm assuming that you have been to it once or twice or more at least??? Wonder what hotel rooms go for on that route the night before????:lmao: I would want to watch it from the window sill seat as in the Miracle on 34th street....that would be IDEAL!!!!

We have a great coffee maker, that grinds and brews on a timer, but I just set it up night before then hit the go button, very fast. Cusinart Auto grind and brew. (it's red :thumbsup2 ) they make lots of colors.

Are you thinking of this dress?

AGDressNYE.jpg

It's the AG holiday dress, I bought it, and she might wear it, for sure this year for the holidays, but maybe on the cruise too. She needs a few fancies for Repo cruise.

We're watching and I'm totally thinking of you :thumbsup2 I think we need to plan to invite ourselves to NY for Tday one year. I realllyllllyyllylylyl want to see the parade. And I want to see it with YOU!

The kids say hi to Chad and Jesse, Wilson was excitedly talking about your boys.

Now he is dancing like the color guard dancers from U of Alabama. What a clown!

It's nice how I read what you write and feel like I am right there with you...Karen, in England, then Brenda on our beautiful west coast, and Nan and Aisling. I like how I literally travel around the world as I read what y'all have been up to...

John spent last night and today cooking a couple dishes for dinner at sis and bils house. He's sleeping now. Very content after a good holiday feast with friends and family...it was nice. I have everything to be thankful for.

I've got Disney on the brain...

two weeks from saturday DS and I will be there :woohoo:

I've gotta comment on the Molly dresses...she's growing so fast, I'm thinking the new one you found for her would be perfect for the end of next year...how old is she now Mama (Nan?) and how old on the Cruise?

She is almost 10 1/2 now and will be 11 1/2 then (wearing size 14). Right on that tricky edge, little girl pre-teen... You know her she is an innocent by choice. I was suprised she liked the dress, as everything that shows *any* skin she says nope! Who knows what another year will do to her body, not sure I'd even want her wearing it then :lmao:

Happy Black Friday my friends....Colleen....I so am with you on how reading everyone's posts can transport me to all of your **worlds**

Yes Nan that was the dress i was thinking about...i love the black & gold & the poofiness...but didn't even think about how much older Molly will be & may want a dress to reflect her "preteen" body (YIKES - been there)agggghhhh...
and just because we all just want to stay/look 10 yrs younger i guess she wouldn't:lmao:

i may need to look for that cuisinart coffee maker today...Chel is coming about 8 & we are heading up to Santana Row for a little shopping....light lunch & a couple of hours at Burke Williams...then nothing but relax with my guys tonite.

Tomorrow morning I have to take the Lexus to the dealership for 1st service...already have 5000 miles...then tomorrow afternoon heading over to DSil's for 2nd TG/niece's bd celeb - she'll be 14 - they are staring with Wii games at 3ish & dnr at 5

Okay....i just have to share this with you guys....DS tells me awhile back he wants Rock Band for his Xbox360; so i offer that as a suggestion to DSil's & BIL....i tell them this in an email the night before it's released....the very next day (the day it was released)...Ryan tells me that his friend Edgar had preordered it & they want to "split" up the instruments that comes with it so all he needs is about $50 for his portion to give to Edgar & the game disc...so the following a.m. i email the group telling them all this & both SIL's email me back saying SIL Deb already got it....so i email deb to see if she wants to exchange it for something else - or just give it to him anyway (his fault he cant wait)...she wants to give it to him....okay that's fine with me - he can exchange after Xmas.
Now the funny part....the other SIL is here yesterday & is having me test her out her new blackberry pearl to compare to my treo for a homework assignment...one of the things she asks me to do is find an email from Deb...so i find the latest one & it's an email to Sheri about the game and went something like "GEEESSSSHHHHHH....i emailed her pretty quickly to let her know i had gotten it".....SOOOOO i guess she's not all that happy that her Dnephew can't wait to play his game with his friends & that is somehow MY fault!!!:confused3
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: long story short...don't let people read your email if you're gonna talk smack!!

Your spa day sounds wonderful Brenda...I could use one of them...

Spa days are pretty popular out there huh? My sister's Bro and SIL moved to Huntington Beach recently and Marcie is already into the Spa thing.

Its also cool that I have been to Santana Row (thanx Nan) cause I know exactly where you're going - again, I can be right there with you :cloud9:

Nan, Molly will look gorgeous in the black velvet! I'd give her another five years before putting the strapless on her :)

OUCH, Brenda!!! :headache:

Hi everyone!

I'm still here as we've had to postpone our Paris trip. Combination of factors but as we can exchange our tickets due to industrlal action in France ;) , we thought we'd take advantage and not bother right now. Relieved really as Dinah (our Dalmatian) has developed a skin complaint on her back that somehow seems to have gotten worse this afternoon! :confused3 So she needs a vet visit tomorrow.

Just off to get ready for dinner at a local Italian restaurant - I love dressing up on a Friday night... :cloud9:

Arrivederci amici...

Yes the spa is our way of life in CA :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: okay we wish it was our way of life in CA

I'm headed out for a pedi today :thumbsup2

I'm not in a rush for the strapless, but that one on ebay does have straps, just thin ones. She said she liked it because it has a shawl.

It is hard to find something between the princess cutie stuff and big girl vavavoom.

She does have the black velvet one now, so it's likely that will be THE DRESS, but like I said we need a few for repo, 15 days of dressing up at least 3 or so.

Hi Everyone,

Just checking in.. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.. I ate too much, and will be returning to my mom's tonight after work to indulge in a bit of leftovers. Hot Open Faced Turkey Sandwiches to be exact.. YUM!!!

Anyone else brave the insaneness this am and head out to a store?? Brian and I got up at 4am to get to Kohl's for the Kitchen Aid Mixer they had advertised for $129.99. We got that, a fry daddy, a new pet vacuum and 500 count sheets!! Brian had never been to a store on Black Friday.. let alone at 4 in the am. HA... We were there from about 4:15 until 6 am. And an hour of that was waiting in line to check out.

Here is hoping that everyone had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving.

I thought about going shopping, for about a minute...

You gonna try and get Molly that gold dress? I think she'll look gorgeous in it and that'll leave only one more you'll need for the Repo ::yes::

Kaz, good luck with DInah, winter is so hard on the skin...if you got something underlying there, this is when it'll come out :(

John brought home a carcass last night to make turkey soup but went to a flyers game with his friend...I guess I'll get my soup tomorrow~in the meantime, we gotz puhlenty of stuffing :woohoo:

Kaz! I got us in at SSRs Turf Club at 810 pm on the 14th!

I hope you two are able to make it...

I also booked DS and me into the Rose and Crown for 8pm the night before. DS and I have eaten in Norway, Germany and Canada and we wanted to try something different so I shot for fireworks seating. Our first choice was Tepan Edo, the new Japanese restaurant, but the earliest they had was 915pm. Rose and Crown was second choice and were able to get us in at 8pm on the dot.

Hi all..got back about an hour ago....shopping today was REALLY great at Santana Row...no crowds at all - or so we thought till we saw the line at the newly opend H&M...we didn't go there...everything else only had a few people...so was really nice. Got some really good deals at Ann Taylor & Chicos...only spent about $130 for about $225 worth of stuff....AND (or BUT) it was all just for me...no Christmas gifts at all:lmao:
Met DD & friend Bev for lunch at Maggiano's then over to Burke Williams for our appts...what a NICE spa....i had a wonderful Orange/Lemon moisturing milk bath; followed by a combo shiatsu/swedish massage & finished up with a detoxifying body wrap....all very nice!!! Chel & I are thinking about going back up the Friday after Christmas...
Just hanging out with DH....watching Warriors game...DS is upstairs playing that game he couldn't wait another month to get :rotfl:

Kaz...so sorry about the trip to paris.....and about Dinah...Niner had a lot of skin problems too...so typical in Dal's for sure....good luck!!!

going to get more coffee & go watch the parade...i'm assuming that you have been to it once or twice or more at least???

Brenda, when I was a kid, we went every year. It's only 20 minutes away by subway from my house to midtown, so no worrying about parking. When my kids were little, we did the parade and especially the balloon inflations the night before, but they can't be bothered with the crowds anymore. The Christmas tree lighting is next week, and I just might go by myself!

Soooo funny about that email! I hope you all got a good laugh over it!

We had a nice Thanksgiving at my brother's and SILs house. She always does Thanksgiving, and I host Christmas Eve. I didn't do any BF shopping, too tired. Kelly, sounds like you did pretty good with your shopping!:thumbsup2

I got tickets for Dec. 9th to see Ronan Tynan (one of the Three Irish Tenors) at a church here. I saw him a few years ago when he came to town to do these Benefit concerts, and he was amazing.

I'm so in the mood for a slice of pizza! Anyone wanna deliver??:lmao:

Yes the spa is our way of life in CA :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: okay we wish it was our way of life in CA...

Wish it was our way of life in London too! :goodvibes I have a longlasting manicure every couple of weeks and that sort of thing but spa day's don't feature often enough. I really fancy a wrap - might book in before my trip... :cool2:

Wow!!! I am sooo impressed with your dedication, Kelly! :thumbsup2 And some fab bargains! :woohoo:

...Kaz, good luck with DInah, winter is so hard on the skin...if you got something underlying there, this is when it'll come out :(
Definitely and I guess the central heating doesn't help the poor girl - it definitely messes my skin up... :sad2:
Kaz! I got us in at SSRs Turf Club at 810 pm on the 14th!

I hope you two are able to make it...

That's fab news, Tigg! :thumbsup2 I'm gonna do my absolute best to be there - can't wait!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
