I just posted this photo on the DCL pic of the day. Anyone remember this young lady with Chad?

my mom's bday is 8/24...i'll pass the wishes to her closer to that date, thanks.

who is that chippie with Chad?

She looks like your hairdresser.

Have you asked chad?

I'm talking to Adrian about the cruise. He seems Leary, he's never cruised.

We are also discussing nc. He just got back from a weekend in new Orleans. He's got some cool pics.

I forgot her name, but she was an Aussie recreational leader. She did the cha cha lessons in the Promenade Lounge, where Jill caught me being a wall flower dying to get up there and dance.

Nan, what's a chippie??

Tell Adrian I've been trying to get to NO for the longest time, but no one wants to go with me! I hope he shares his pics with us.

Adrian, register on the Dis, c'mon, join us party animals as we count down to cruise time. Be prepared to have the most relaxing, most awesome vacation you ever had. Chad needs a bud to hang with. You two will get along great! Now that he's legal drinking age, I won't have to buy his Coronas for him!

Lovely photo, guys! You all look so festive... :santa:

It was just 'OK'. It was really crowded, which we were expecting and can handle, but the 'quality' of the other guests was way below par. Rude people everywhere. We did the Minnie and Friends character breakfast at the Plaza Inn, and there were people not eating breakfast barging into the restaurant to get their pictures taken with the characters (you can see the characters from Main Street). The CM's were actually hand-stamping guests as they paid for their breakfasts (they make you pay before you eat - I guess that's because so many people have left in disgust and not paid), so they'd have an idea of who was supposed to be there. Didn't really matter, cause the CM's weren't kicking anyone out. Everytime a character would come by, a big family sitting near us would all come over and swarm the character. The characters didn't have handlers, and no one was explaining to the lovley people that they're supposed to wait their turn. We waited an hour and a half before Minnie finally made an appearance at our table. It was dang near $100 for some crappy eggs, and a very stressful time. We'll never do another character breakfast at DL again. They really have no idea what they're doing over there. WDW rul3z.

Oh Grim! That sounds awful! Whilst we loved our trip to the original DL for New Year 2005, we all agreed that it didn't have quite the same feel-good factor that WDW has. Maybe it's something to do with the lack of space, I don't know..? :confused3 We did a character breakfast at the Grand Californian - it had a Brother Bear theme and compared to the many we've done at WDW, it was poor. The characters didn't seem to know how to interact and all in all, it was v lacklustre... The photos of Piper are wonderful tho' - she's a natural... :thumbsup2

Morning all!

I studied cabinetmaking in vocational school, John used to call me his little wood chipper :)

I will show Adrian your message Aisling, we got Britt on here once upon a time maybe we can get him to sign up too

Have a great Tuesday magic mateys!

oh my...language barriers right here in the US between west & east coast:lmao: :lmao:
Adrian.....we NEED you to cruise with us for sure!!!! we're going to need 'guys' to dance with NY Eve for all us women going without hubbies!!!! :lmao: :rotfl: okay okay so that doesn't sound appealing to you, BUT there will be LOTS of total babes on the ship too!!!

Grim, I am sorry to see your stay at dl wasn't as magical as it seemed. I rather enjoyed pipers pics, I can see how she enjoyed the sites...its amazing how much she seemed to enjoy the characters, she wasn't scared at all was she?

She was scared of the rides at first- she had few tears on Peter Pan(her first ride), but by the end of the trip, she was digging everything.

Great logo, Tigg! I think the Mickey & Crossbones would make a fab tattoo... pirate:

Thanx Guys!

I got the medallion idea from POTC of course...the yo ho and the crossbones came from a glass I have in my house that I bought for DH years ago~

I took pictures of the glass and then transformed them to match what I needed for the designs...

I am quite proud of how they both turned out~

My next step will be to see if cafepress can make bandanas out of them...and then get the shirts made.

Cafepress will let you buy your shirts and stuff direct from the printer, no need for a middle man this way ;)

They offer kids/baby clothes and mouse pads and mugs and even clocks on their site. I'll let all of you know as soon as we are set up~

when we get to Cozumel - we can all get "HENNA" tattoos of our great logos!!!

WDW like DL was very crowded. This is to be expected.

The temp was in the upper 90's with a heat index of 105. The sweat was pouring off of all

I would go in the morning leave around 1 or 2. Go to the pool. Eat dinner. Then go back out in the evening.

Animal kingdom seemed most crowded. Familys were agitated. Kids wanted to do expedition everest. The animals arn't as exciting as that ride is to the kids. It was the one time I could appreciate fastpass. I thought the animals would be resting at noon & wouldn't be able to see them. That was the time they had put food out. Food rules.

The extra hours at night for people staying at Disney Resort Hotels gives you a chance to ride rides that the line is usally long.
Soarin is great. In the waiting portion just before you get real close there are games on the wall that require group participation. They were good.

MGM will have a name change soon - It will be Disney Hollywood.

The dining area at Pop Century is good for the type of Resort it is. But, it was noisy & close & the food choice was minimal. The deserts were good. Mostly I went to the Shades Of Green for dinner. The food is great & so is the atmosphere. The prices are right, also.

I got to talk to a lot of castmembers this trip. In a few years I plan on becoming one.

Enough for now. Tommorrow, I will describe my backstage tour.

In the windows at Pop Century it is tradition to decorate it. This is mine
