Brenda already took my offer my friend, no worries.

I dont know spanish, but i was born in germany and german was what i first learned yet when i moved to america the schools wouldnt touch me with a 10foot pole till my dad tought me english..so i guess im kinda bilengual tho i dont rember german that much if i hear ppl speak it some times i can catch what there saying some times i cant.

But im mad at schools here who are trying to force my son to speak spanish.

I am looking forward to the cruise and will be calling dec to turn my points in for the cruise

Good Morning Cruisers!!!
Who ever suggested the idea of name / logo for our group....sounds like a "GREAT" idea to me....anyone have any ideas?

Nan - much luck to you with the school board etc...when we moved here i was blown away by the school district here and lots of things going on that i never could have tolerated...couldn't/wouldn't let DD & DS go to the public schools here. We are so fortunate to have a couple of small very good Catholic schools~

Karen ~ only 99 days - AWESOME - the countdown has begun!!!

TGIF - and i don't think i'll go to the office tomorrow - yippee!!!!

Tiff - that's too bad you don't remember your native language & didn't have the opportunity to speak both languages at home while you were growing up...I sure wish my in-laws would have taught DH & siblings the Japanese language alongside of english...but after their stint in the concentration camps, they felt it was better to raise their kids as "americanized' as possible....i didn't want my kids to go to a school where almost 90% was taught in "spanish" which is how it was here when my kids started school...it's better today - but still very bilingual as we're in highly immigrant area. HOWEVER - Ryan is pretty fluent with his spanish just from his HS classes which have been great. AND i think in today's world (especially in Cali and even AZ) knowing spanish is a GOOD thing! Would love for him to learn Japanese too & who knows...he just may~anyway my point is...don't be mad that RT is being 'forced' to learn spanish - it will really be helpful in the long run for him~just embrace the idea

i know i know it is supose to be better. but i am one who is relly agenst illiguals (i have alot of past stuff) I wish every one just spoke english so there wouldnt be so much talking behind back witch i had a lot of when i was a kid..tho ive been told let the teachers teach him (next year not this year) and he will know what every ones saying and they wont be abel to talk behind my back..i laughed when his aunt said that but ya its true.

I dont Hate any one. I just hate ppl whop belive there more special then others. But I started encarging rt to wtch dora and dego..and he likes it and says the spanish words they teach..it isnt bad.

I apoligize in advance if any one gets mad at me.

My older son is a Police Officer and he never learned Spanish in school. Now wishes he had! Unfortunatly, he has to deal with a lot of gang members and he is definatly at a disadvantage. For him it is a safety issue as well as he may get more respect from those gang memebers if he was able to speak spanish. I know, why does he want their respect!!!!!!

Hi Friends,

Cal and Michele, Drew and Colleen!:welcome:

Nan, I was thinking, if you can get to Tokyo on your Asian trip, I think you'll have been to all the Disney parks! You'll be the Disney Park Queen among us!
Seriously, I can imagine how hectic things must be for you now. Is your mom getting excited?

Debbie, thank you for the hug. I'm SO glad you're back on the boat, so to speak! Imagine this: Rockin' Bar D, rum, giggles, :dance3: Or Cove Cafe, relaxation, :coffee:...I'm very much looking forward to meeting you, too.

Brenda, you, too, girl! And Karen, OMG, what a crew we're going to be! Brenda and Nan, I like the idea of a logo, too. Tig, any ideas? Jade? Grim? Isn't Grim a web designer? Grim, do you have time in your 30 hour day to create a nice cruise logo for us?

Grim, how's Dede and Piper? Please fill us in, with pictures if you can. I was wondering, how do you and Dede feel about Flounder's Nursery? Will Piper be in that age group at cruise time? If you're not comfortable with it, remember you have all of us to help you if you want a little Rasul time.;)

Jade, I'm checking out more GTY info for you.

Working in a prison I can understand his logic. Barron's publishes a book called "Spanish for Law Enforcement Personnel" It puts together many phrases he may need. Like This is the police, who saw what happened, You have the right to remain silent.
My favorite at work when they don't get their way is "Que lastima, lo siento mucho" "What a shame, I'm so sorry." It actually makes them laugh. I'm sure you know how sympathetic prison guards are.

Hey Mom, what happened to your picture?

The motorcycle shot is gone! I went to show a coworker and couldn't :confused3

Should be there now. For some reason it was showing on my computer. So, just in case I redid it from photobucket.

By the way, cruisers, I was listening to "Inside The Magic" Podcast. He said that one of Disneys ships has installed a line in each cabin where you can use your cellphone (cost to be determined by your provider) & the other ship will be doing the same.

My ship-to-shore phone bill was almost $300, so I'd be so grateful for a lower cost alternative.

Jill, I've memorized the "que lastimo..." phrase to use on my kids!

can some one tell me, dose the ship have wireless internet for those that have laptop?

"Disney Cruise Line is introducing wireless internet ship-wide on the Disney Magic as well as stateroom access for cell phones on May 12. (The Disney Wonder will have these enhancements later this summer.)

Check with your cell phone provider for rates and required access for international service"

The above is straight from this Disney site. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/news.htm

check it out - it's all the latest poop & scoop on DCL

Aisling - you go girl

It's funny to me that I always assume people already know what I know ;)

I hope everyone here is having a lovely weekend~

Everyone's name is on page one...

I requested late dining, we eat late dinner's already so this suits us quite nicely. I think Nan requested late dining, as west coasters it winds up being normal dinner time for them anyway.

I'd like to know what everyone else requested and who has the same dining rotation as us, Tiffany has brought forth my enquiring mind :scratchin

i was thinking late dinning but i wanted to make sure wew ouldnt miss out on each other just in case we all want to get together and what not, hehe

Also ive heard late dinning is usely better for some reson
