Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well and life is good. I'm fine, if a little over-excited and just had to share my news...

My DH came home late on Monday night (dinner with Big Boss over from the NYC) and, as we were sipping our late night hot drinks (you gotta love this new alcohol-free lifestyle), he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him again! I, of course, said "Silly, you know I will! We've got the vow renewal in September!" Then he went and slipped a new beautiful diamond engagement ring on my finger which he'd had made unbeknown to me!!!! I don't think there's a smilie anywhere to show how astounded and overcome I was...

Two days later and I'm still in shock...

I'm looking at shorter only because I'm short, and maybe if I show some leg, it'll prove I have some! There's so much time to choose, and I'll change my mind many times before then, but I really enjoy looking at pretty dresses, so that'll be my obsession for the months to come. Since I'm not a spring chicken anymore, I'm looking for elegance ala Grace Kelly. My men will be in black suits, so I don't want to wear black. I want to stand out among my men.

Jade, if you don't have a formal dress/gown, a great place to look for very inexpensive dressy dresses if a thrift shop! No kidding, I donated some clothes there a while ago, and I was looking around and saw many lovely dresses for loooooooow prices, like $20. All it takes is a dry cleaning and press, and there you go! In fact, that's where we'll probably get our pirate attire, since that have a lot of piratey shirts for less than $10, the ones with the flaired sleeves for men.

Ok, I've already changed my mind about the dress. I think it would be more suitable for Palo instead of formal night, unless we do formal night at Palo! Hmmm, only a year and a half to decide, whateva will I do. Anyone think I need to get a life?
