Hi Jade,
I have money put aside for the 2008 cruise already, and it's locked into an account where I have to pay a penalty for early withdrawal. Therefore, I won't be touching that money until final cruise payment is due. That means a big YES:yay:I'll be on that cruise.

That's a shame Aisling. Maybe the fares will go down nearer the time - they do sometimes over here... :confused3 When were you thinking of going?

 Hi Karen, how are you today?
I'm really good thanks, Colleen! :thumbsup2 I'm feeling ridiculously energetic and upbeat - would you believe that, according to my pedometer, I walked over 14.5 miles today!!!

Hope all my NYE cruisin' crewmates are fit and well too... :grouphug: pirate:

Wow, that's alotta walkin!

As the ladies said above Aisling, keep checking, airfares have been unusually good lately-be patient and keep checking!

I just added a couple more posts to my trippie, I even added the index to my sig to make each update easier to get to :)

Hi Brenda!

I kinda like my photography being my hobby and not my job...

as a hobby I am more flexible about using it where I like to and not so much as I have to...I do promo photos for work, I do band shots for a friends of ours, I have done weddings for friends and sell framed prints of my stuff for those who ask. I also do family portraits when asked. The portraits come out much better now that I use the boss' Nikon...I tried to do some for Nan on the cruise with my point and shoot and honestly, I didn't like any of them.

I promote it on my MySpace and love it when all the kids I deal with use pictures I have taken of them on theirs. I have had band shots published in newspapers and am soon to be in Sharla Whalen's new book on scrapbooking.

IOW, I do ok already with it...

I'd just like to find a way to make it more financially productive~

 Hi Karen, how are you today?

ahhh ... gotcha....well you definitely have the knack...but i can see how making it your J-O-B could also make it less fun......

Hi Karen, Brenda, Tig, Nan, Grim, all my cruise buds,

I've been looking at airfares to Orlando for this December, and holy smoke, they're outrageous! I'm talking almost $600 per person on Jetblue! I have $900 credit with Jetblue, but it looks like that $900 is nothing more than a drop in the bucket. It looks like we won't be going to Orlando this winter with those fares!

Hi Aisling....i just decided to run a check on AF from here too - it's 617.00 on American...YIKES....if that's what it's going to be for next Dec - i better start saving up some "miles" and send one of us at least on miles....but i'll bet that's a "black out" period....yikes!

I checked out Cheap O Air
They had any where from $281 up. I used imaginary dates of 21 dec - 28 dec.

They do charge a handling fee & all bookings are final

air tran was the cheapest out of united, us airways, jetblue , and there were like others but omg im like heck no..(i found some as high as 800, and normal were 400-500. but 260 was airtran

I like southwest...

They and Delta gave me the best rates out to Cali and back...I paid less than $500 for the two of us in total, round trip, by keeping a really close eye on the airfares and starting (with Delta and Airtran anyway) 6 months ahead of time. Southwest's 90 day window is a little frustrating but I still swear by their rates.

Another way to save is by adding a day or two...

If we fly on Friday it will absolutely cost more. If we could fly out on a wednesday and back on a tuesday (see how I snuck 6 extra days in there ;) ) we could absolutely save some serious dough~but then with the savings a hotel stay would have to be paid for.

southwest and delta??
humm maybe i should check them aginethat would be better

We took SW in April to Orlando - the rate was great - less than/right around $500 for the both of us - yeah the 90 day window sucks for sure & stopping twice isn't fun - but the rate was right!!!

Jade (Tiffany) In case you missed this...

These are some of my favorite sources of Disney information...I highly recommend you check em out~

Try WDWIG.com and Mousesavers.com, those are two of my favorite information sites besides the DIS. I also go to the book store and get myself the Birnbaum's Official Guides for whatever park I am headed to. They have books on DCL, DL and WDW~

The books are also available at my local county library, maybe they are available at yours :confused3

Morning Fellow Cruisers!

If you mean to check Walmart for the books you may want to try a local Disney store (mine have the books) or a barnes&noble type book store.

I hope you feel better soon...

Cool! Plans seems to be flowing quite well for you...

I'll be working on my summer vacation before I get back into Disney planning. My friend Rose has invited us to WDW with her in December so I'll be back to planning again soon~

We also have a Disney Fans gathering to go to in Camp Hill PA next month that I am helping to organize. The meet sold out in hours and we have over 500 people coming. It's gonna be busy for me but Fun~ :woohoo:

Hi everyone! :wave2: Hope you're all doing well and life is good. I'm fine, if a little over-excited and just had to share my news...

My DH came home late on Monday night (dinner with Big Boss over from the NYC) and, as we were sipping our late night hot drinks (you gotta love this new alcohol-free lifestyle), he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him again! I, of course, said "Silly, you know I will! We've got the vow renewal in September!" Then he went and slipped a new beautiful diamond engagement ring on my finger which he'd had made unbeknown to me!!!! I don't think there's a smilie anywhere to show how astounded and overcome I was...

Two days later and I'm still in shock...
