New year, New job

Hi all

I am leaving my job when we break up for Christmas. I have been here for over 11 years and have found myself moving away from programing, which I enjoy. So i am off to pastures new to get back to full time programming.

A bit nervous as it will be only my 3rd job since leaving school in 85.

So spare me a thought on Jan 3rd

I can remember the thoughts of dread when I left a job I'd been doing for 9 years (journalism) to move into travel, best move I ever made but remember the first couple of weeks in a new job is always a bit crap 'cos its so difficult being the new person, asking stupid questions etc, never mind I'm sure you'll have a great time

My job seems to involve far less programming than I would like at the moment too I'm not about to up and leave just yet though as there isn't too much of an alternative in this area of the country and I don't want to move as I like it here.

Where about in the uk r u?. I found it difficult to find a programming job, they seem to come round in fits and starts, too many programmers and not enough jobs, then 6 months later too few programmers and too many jobs.
