I can't make resolutions, because I never keep them, and then POW...more stress...

So, this year I have Not-Resolutions. More like goals, but I'm not beating myself up over them. KWIM?

  • Be kinder to myself. Tell that mean, spoiled, voice in my head to knock it off
  • Stay on the Low carb track. I just feel better, less sluggish, and drop lbs better
  • Go back to the gym :yay:
  • Get back to the Flylady missions, and stick with it
  • Keep up with Buffy's missions
  • Keep purging the unnecessary and unloved things from my home

OK, that's about all I can handle for a bit ;)

I will join you in making some personal goals for the New Year:

- I will listen to DH before saying things are not in our budget
- I will develop and keep up an exercise routine
- I will keep up with Buffy room organization
- I wil keep up wih maintaining once the roms are organized
- I will work on making Christmas gifts starting in January and work on them some each month so I won't have too much to do near the end of the year
- I will work at having things available for drop in guests - cookies in the freezer bread ready to go, ect.

I want to be an encouragement to someone each day, even if it's a small thing I can do. Things in my office are still bad, and we're expecting more changes to come. It's not going to get much better any time soon.

Work on my temper. I've been doing better, but not where I should be. Thinking before I speak goes right along with that, especially at home.

Find something positive in (at least some of) the things DH likes to do, and do them with him. The boys always go, but I tend to pass on the hiking/camping trips, and I'd like to go along and have fun doing something outside my want-to zone.

I need to gain some weight. Not alot, but some. I have never been able to maintain a normal weight, no matter what I do.

Steph

Personal goals for me this year:

eat healthy I feel so much better.
get necessary sleep (sometimes out of my control)
when life gets a bit  take time off and get back on track

Ah, "me" goals:

  • Take better care of me. This includes going to the doctor when I'm not feeling well, figure out what's up with my headaches, and get that stupid tooth fixed.
  • Lose some weight. This is a never-ending battle. However, I have to be a good role model for my kid. I need to be healthier, so she will too.
  • More dates with DH.
  • Spend more time with my friends.
  • Spend $ wisely.

Ooh, I like these! Here are mine:

1. Be nicer to me. Like Deb said, tell that little voice to can it!
2. Be kinder to everyone, and see the positive!
3. Take better care of myself. Lose weight, work out. DH & I are going to try this together--as DS gets older, I want to be an example of healthy living for him!
4. Keep my house more straightened up so people could "drop in".
5. Find some time for crafting. It's often the first thing I let go, and it's the biggest stress-reliever!
6. Find some "play" time with DH & DS. Not focus so much on "what's got to be done"!

As I always say, we can do this together!!

I'm still putting my together.
I have so many!!!

My Me goals:
  • Be nicer to me
  • have a bigger voice towards others especially when it effects me or my family
  • learn to say no, and be ok with it
  • eat healthy
  • keep up my commitment on the WISH board (those who want to lose weight should join me, pjlla, SIOH and jennz) Biggest Loser 9, spring addition
  • follow my own organization class!

Goals for this year:

1. Take an more active role in our business
2. Exercise at least 4 times a week (which should help lose weight)
3. Take 1 hour a day for just my DD (DD and Mommy time)

My goals:

1. Lose weight - I'm running out of clothes which fit, but diets are a short-term so I need to find the way that works for me for good!
2. Keep my scrap stuff tidy
3.Remember scrapping is not a race - I CAN spend several hours on a layout, I don't NEED to do 4 pages at once
4. Reduce my glass recycling ;) (Shhh! There's a few wine bottles in there)
5. Get rid of clothes that are too scruffy, way too small (i.e. tight even if I HAVE lost weight), just kept becuase "they were expensive" if I'm not wearing them (shoes too)

That'll do for now

My Me goals:
  • keep up my commitment on the WISH board (those who want to lose weight should join me, pjlla, SIOH and jennz) Biggest Loser 9, spring addition

I am going to go find you guys there...I so need the support.

Well...... since for most of my life my "resolutions" only involved losing weight and I have finally done that, it didn't really occur to me to make a resolution for this year (other than losing the last 5-7 lb and KEEPING it off!).

Here is what I posted about goals for this year over on the WISH board:

Nurture and improve relationships with people around me (mostly DH and DD).

Take ACTION instead of just thinking of the things I should be doing for the people around me (like actually WRITING that note of encouragement or sympathy, instead of just intending to and then never actually doing it).

Keep losing weight until I hit my goal and then STAY at my goal weight (this goal entails the continuation of my exercise plan).

Stay organized and get MORE organized (which will involve more purging).

Spend less, save more.

That's about it. Pretty dull I suppose, but nice to have it in writing!......P
