I still want the game though no matter how much magic it lost you make it up with friends and the magic is always restored and flowing. Hosts and staff do that well too. I wish a few of us could just take over vmk and keep it open, as a voulentary thing.

I still think yavn is yavn, although he's not in charge anymore. The guy switched jobs at the end of the summer, but he did stay within the company. With his promotion, I'm sure there was something worked out so he would stay connected to VMK- maybe as a consultant. He might not have been the lead on the project, but I'm sure he has stayed involved.

Question: why so much hate for whoever is running the game right now, yet the "original yavn" gets all sorts of glove? I have tons of respect for everyone who worked on this VMK, and I think some of the coolest things they've come up with have come in recent months. Just a thought- what if yavn's departure had something to do with the game closing? If it was a struggle to keep the game funded and the game's creator left, it might have been too tough to advocate for it for whoever remained in the department. I'm not saying anything bad about him leaving for better opportunities but I'm just confused about all the sudden love for the guy.

Where have you been for the past 2 weeks lol. The yavn were suddenly "gloving" as you say is the original yavn. They one we hate is this boot leg yavn that just writes the newsletters.

No, I get that. I guess I'm just confused as to why he's the good guy and "new yavn" is the bad guy- especially if we're all in agreement that it's been like this for a while. And if these feelings have just emerged in the past two weeks, is it just a "shooting the messenger" thing? It seemed like there was more to it than that.

Tiki you may not have been here then, but a while back one of the younger members on this board was having a terrible chemotherapy battle against cancer (which he WON and he is well now - YAY!!)

Yavn and some other VMK staff actually PERSONALLY met with this young man at Walt Disney World - first calling him on the phone at home - because the boy wanted to meet Yavn. Yavn took his time to do this kind and gracious act for our Dis kid!! Woot!!!

That is why the "original" Yavn has respect from many of us.

That being said, I think there is only one Yavn and that he works for Disney and is sending the message of his team. I think it's the same person. Very few people are all good or bad.....
