I am touring the property next week and will be sure to pass along info...

Dee, could you let us know if all of the restaurants are open and what kind of restaurants they are?

Absolutely...Any other requests feel free to pass them along...

Can't wait to hear what others say about this place. We are seriously considering staying there next summer if its really as nice as it appears to be on paper.

It would be good to confirm that hotel guests have full access to the Wyndham timeshare facilities (pools, activities, etc.) and vice versa. That's been posted, but it would be nice to know for sure.

Another thing would be whether the Wyndham Grand has their own bus service, or will use the WBC buses.

One thing I know the bartender at the Pool Bar at Tower 3 mentioned was that they were told that the parking lots between the hotel and the timeshare wouldn't be connected. He mentioned that the delivery drivers for the pizza were hoping it would be to make the drive to Tower 6 much easier/quicker.

That being said.... It LOOKED like maybe once they clean up the construction around the Convention Center between Tower 3 and the hotel, that maybe the parking lots would have a connection.... so i don't know if there would be a connection either way.

I have ressies Oct. 18th to 21st for a no kids trip to food and wine fest. It is 133 + resort fee for concierge level with balcony.

I would love to know about the pool and hot tubs, restaurants and bus to DTD.

You may actually be one of the first DIS'ers to stay at the Wyndham Grand. If noone else posts any details on the hotel before your trip, I'm sure the rest of us would love some details.

I will report back. I always stay onsite, but I couldn't find a deal so I am trying this new hotel

I'll be certain to ask. I will say I was at Hilton Bonnet Creek over the weekend, and the bus parked out front the Wyndham appeared to be just for the hotel. I'll be sure to confirm though...

My mom surprised me last night. Family will be staying there between Christmas and New Years!:cool1:

I leave tomorrow at 5am for the hotel. I will be there all week and if I remember I will post some details.

We were just at Wyndham Bonnet Creek and I was able to walk around in the Grand. It was lovely and quite contemporary, lots of blue. There was a bar that also served food including sushi, items between $12 and $25-it would add up quick. There was also a coffee counter that had some premade sandwiches and salads as well as some yummy looking pastries and desserts. There were a couple other restaurants and a spa but I did not see them. I was able to walk into the hotel on the backside from the path at Bonnet Creek. Also the hotel connects to the ground floor hallway of building 6. The hotel has its own bus and bus stop at the hotel, but currently it shares the same stops at all the theme parks as the wbc. It really was lovely and formal. Lots of beautiful and unusual chairs around. Oh and currently the parking lots are connected, we were able to pull in the front of the grand and pull on through to building 6. Hope this info helps some. Somewhere I do have a picture from the lobby, but we just got home and I don't have time to upload it.

Yes, it is pretty, but formal. It reminds me a lot of a couple of the pool areas in vegas. It is white and blue. There are some white pillar type things with bluet tile stripe around them and I think there may have been a water stream coming out of them. Blue loungers around the pool. It was not a huge area but looked sufficient.

Uh oh - does the pool area seem (3yr and 6yr) kid friendly? Have a reservation at POP, but saw a good rate for the Grand - king bed w/ bunk beds that I think the kids would like, but not really up for much of a formal type experience this time around. I realize it's not POP style, but don't want a Ritz type experience either if that makes sense.

Thanks for any help and I hope you are having a nice time!
