haha sorry i hit the wrong button...i'm not done!

One tip I can give to aspiring pin traders is a CM must trade with you no matter what you want to give them in return so don't hesitate if you see something you like! Now this doesn't mean you take there pins...you must give a pin in return!

My tips and suggestions are:
1. Definetly rent a car if you have the means to...a night or two eating outside the world can be refreshing and cheaper!(Inqire about Chevy's-great mexican!) Plus it cuts transportation time down. A lot of the time we'd park at the beach club and hop the boat from there to the international gateway in Epcot.
2. Don't neglect the world showcase in Epcot..when the merchandise in the parks becomes monotones the shopping here is like a dream come true! And it's not that pricey either.
3. Definetly eat at Norway's buffet in Epcot. The food is incredibly well prepared and the variety is amazing. Its not all fish, the hot entres are mainly meat, vegatable, and potato dishes. It was some of the most delicious food we've ever had! Eat at the Cape May buffet- classic favorites and all the steamers you can eat. Never dissapointing! Although we liked Boma it was VERY spicey and interesting so if your a picky eater I might not suggest it! Don't be afraid to try buffets because your afraid the kids won't like them, most offer a childs selection with all the kid-freindly standards!
4. Goodings is a grocery store located down by Typhoon lagoon and downtown disney. Before we went to the lodge we stopped and picked up snacks to sustain us between meals it's good but not necessay....definetly buy a refillable mug it pays for itself!
5. If you have kids who are old enough to be left alone for a night treat them to a night at disney quest- all the video and virual reality games they can play-and treat yourself to a night by yourselves! However its fun for young kids too so make it a family activity!
6. Don't feed the birds down by the pool at the lodge! feed one bird and within seconds you could film your own remake of the hitchcock classic with all the birds that suddenly flock to your chairs and tables...and they won't leave you alone!

Allright I swear I'm done now! I hope this was at all helpful to anybody! enjoy the lodge you won't want to leave!

Peteypan,

Thanks for your trip report! You included lots of great details that I, for one, will definitely be able to use! :bounce:

There is a boat that travels strictly between CR and WL. We used it to eat breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It's only a 3-5 minute boat trip.

Thanks for the info on the cribs. Due to a work circumstance our trip has to be pushed back to the first week of Jan. Someone please tell me the decorations are still up at this time!! My wife will be very disappointed if they are down by the time we get there.:( Also, can anyone tell me what kind of weather to expect? My daughter will be 21 months old when we go and absolutely loves the water, so we were hoping to use the pool if at all possible. If not, I'm sure we'll at least enjoy much warmer weather than what we'll be leaving behind in Wisconsin! :D

Bear Necessities, Hi and thank you! That's very kind of you to say! I'm a female, though. Dan and Dave are my boys.;)
We have been places together other than our one day trip, just not without spouses (or boyfriends) and children. This will only be the second time that it was just the three of us. I am so looking forward to this! And, yes, feeling guilty that the boys aren't coming. Not too, too, guilty though!
:)

Dandave,

I am very sorry to have assumed that you were a dan or a dave. :) Please accept my apologies. However, I still stand by the rest of my post and feel that your sisters are very lucky to have you and hope that you all have a great time. I dont have a sister and always wished I did, I can only imagine how much fun you will all have together. And I understand about the guilt, we didnt take my then 4 yr old daughter with us on our honeymoon either. But definitely this time. LOL Have fun!!!

Hi Laura! Absolutely no apologies needed! Thank you for the good wishes. I'm definitely going to be going through stroller withdrawals on this trip. I've never been to WDW without my boys. I was pregnant with my second one the first time I visited.

My sisters checked out photos of the WL yesterday. They are so excited! I also found out that Friday is E-night. Woohoo! :)

I haven't even started to pack, so I better get to it... I'll post about our stay when I return. Everyone take care!!

DanDave - Noticed on your last post that you found out that Friday night was e-night. I was under the impression that this had been discontinued -- was I misinformed? If so, how do you find out when this is? Thanks so much for the info. All of you are so helpful for us Disney newbies!! :p  :teeth:

Mom2DS, Hi! (Yes, I know I'm supposed to be packing. I did pack a little...:D ;))

E-night is still available- just no early entry. You can check it out on wdwig. com under Ticket Info.

August E-ride nights are: 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23

This is a very silly question, I know! But on the Restaurant board posters are raving about Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I've never had any but someone thought Roaring Forks at WL had them. Can anyone confirm this? I would love to have one with coffee;) (in my mug: of course) in the mornings.

Yes, Roaring Forks has Krispy Creme donuts! The original glazed are the best and they also have the glazed topped with chocolate and sprinkles. Those ones are pure sugar, but my 11 year old loved them:D Enjoy your stay and the donuts!!

Now I'm sure I'm gonna love this resort!!! And I'm sure I will eat more than one! I will walk them off at the parks.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thanx Again!

Just got back from WL Aug.4. We had bunkbeds and a crib in our room. The cribs are free and you even have a choice of a hospital-type metal crib or a pack-n-play crib(which worked out great for us).

How did you get your crib for free, were you in a standard or upgraded room, what was the view from your bunk room, what room did you stay in?

Krispy Kreme are the best donuts in the world...we're from NC...so I can not wait to tell my DH tonight about the Krispy Kreme donuts...just another wonderful bonus to our WL stay....:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

While at WL earlier this month the hours for Roaring Forks were 6am-12pm. The kitchen closed at 11pm . Enjoy your stay, we loved it!!!!:D

I see that Ratpack has added "WL VET" to his siggie....com'on AspiringCindy, add it on yours, too! (and anyone ELSE who has stayed at WL and is now a lifetime FAN!!)

(PS ~ sending "G O O D W I S H E S" out to 999ghsts hoping all is well with her and her family.......
