Lonestarstatelady- When are you going? (I forgot!)

Good Morning, just bumping this up a bit.

Hope everyone has a Magical Day.

We're going to the Lodge!!!!!!!!! yea.

Good morning all. I have a question regarding WL summer rates. We are presently booked at CBR for Aug.'03. But....we are giving serious consideration to rebooking at WL(yippee!!) Does anyone have thoughts on what the previous summer rates have been?? I know that there were some pretty good rates for the same time period last Aug but I can't remember what they were!!!( You have to love having 'senior moments'!!) Thanks for any help. I'm loving this thread. You are all soooo helpful. Once I get rates figured out, then I can obsess over what type room!!!

thanks for the info. I will check with my ta. I just assumed you got the type of room you reserved! Are roll away beds available if we don't get bunkbeds?

Hi. We are heading to WDW next month. This will be our 1st stay at the Wilderness Lodge--I'm so excited!! We will be there a total of 6 nts---2 nts are booked for courtyard & the other 4 are booked as standard. We would like a non-smoking room with 2 beds. I've read through this thread many times & I'm trying to decide on which areas to request. We have heard that a room opening to the lobby area is particularly beautiful at Christmas--with the tree & all--thought maybe for our courtyard nights around room 5067 might be a good choice(from a previous post) but I also believe that the 5th floor is smoking. I have read that the north wing rooms (maybe 4032, 4034, 5032, 5034, 6032, 6034, 6012 & 6022---from earlier posts) have views of the Magic Kingdom(it would be great to look out & see the castle!!)----do any of these fit in the standard room category? I know that we will be happy just being at the Lodge (& WDW) but I'd really like to make our 1st stay there special---any suggestions or comments would be MUCH APPRECIATED!! Thanks!! Jennifer

JHOOPER - I wasn't aware when we were there last year that fifth floor was smoking as we requested non-smoking but have heard on these boards it is. 5067 was however a non-smoking room and we never smelled any smoke while we were there. :)

We have 5 in our party. I am hoping to book WL for 1 or 2 nights after we return from our Disney Cruise. What can you tell me about rooms for 5? What can I expect to pay? We are going in January, which is Value season.

Thanks
Donna

Donna,
www.wdwig.com has a great amount of info about WL, just go there, then click Accomodations, then Wilderness Lodge, and check out the facts sheet and the pics if you want (they even have floor plans of the various kinds of rooms).

Another site you might try is www.ourlaughingplace.com It is a travel agent site, but they have good pics and info as well.

I've never stayed there yet, first trip to WL in Dec, but from what I've seen it sounds like you might want to check out the Junior Suite?

Happy hunting! Hope you have a wonderful time at WL and on your cruise.

Oooh, one more thing. No codes that I know of out right now for Jan, but keep checking www.mousesavers.com for them. When the codes come out, it seems like they're posted there practically instantly. Good luck!

Hi DREAMING. Thanks very much for the reply!! If you didn't smell smoke while in this room that's good enough for us--sounds as though might be just what we are looking for.
P.S.--any comments on the balcony view or otherwise about this location???

JHOOPER - the balcony view was great! We could see the pool, bay, geiser and at night had a wonderful private presentation of the ewp! The balcony has two chairs and a small table. the room itself is a nice size, not huge but plenty for the time you actually end up spending there and it is great being able to walk out your door anytime to catch all the action in the lobby!

Thanks again Dreaming!! I appreciate your response. 4 wks from today we will be heading to WDW---I'm sooo excited!!! Have a great day!! Jennifer

...the smoking section is located in the south wing, as well as 5th floor!;)

WL is truly a "magical" place....I'm just "green with ENVY" to those of you who will be spending the holidays at WL ~ may you all have happy, safe, and MEMORABLE, MAGICAL vacations!!:earsgirl:

JHOOPER, I hope you get the room you requested, and please let me know as soon as you get back! Dreaming-Thanks again for the info. My DH wants me to call and request that room! But I guess everybody has the same plan.......................................;)

Hi!

We will be at the WL in February, 12th - 17th. I have a wooded view reservered, and we would like to have bunk beds and be able to see the Electric Water Parade from our balcony. Are there any wooded view rooms that can do this? Thanks for any help! This is our first time at the WL!

Belle

Well we are going again and the excitement is building already. After the fantastic room and convenience of the VWL to Magic Kingdom last trip (9/2002) We'll be staying there first for a couple of days then on to the P.O. Riverside to finish out the trip. I can't quite say we are WL vets yet, but maybe after this next trip.:sunny:  :teeth:
