I could explain it myself but this is it in a nutshell:

John Baxter is a New York executive tired of big city life who happens to inherit a hotel in the Rocky Mountains. Deciding this is the opportunity of a lifetime, John quits his job and convinces his family to move to Colorado to run the hotel. Unfortunately, the Baxter family is greeted by a run down building that hasn't been inhabited for years. Undaunted, the Baxters set about fixing up the place, not knowing that a local businessman is scheming to get his hands on the property by any means necessary.

It's from the 70's so it's a little outdated but still a good movie..
