New version of Brit's Guide

Hi everyone, if I already have the 2009 version of the Brit's Guide, is there any point in me getting the 2011 one? I'm not sure how much will really have changed in that time - is it mainly just price updates?

I usually buy a copy every year. Yes even the years that i am not going. I know i am sad!

I just can't bear the thought of something going on at WDW that i don't know about!!

We bought this years Brits guide and was quite disapointed.
A lot of the information was already out of date.

Think a new one comes out sept/oct ish each year.

I think it is good for first timers - I lent mine to someone at work and he raved about it.

That made me giggle, yeah i nearly bought a copy one year when we weren't going but felt a bit silly - i keep on here to keep up dated!

The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger the 2010 copy is 800 pages!!! (have a look on play.com) its USA based but really good, no pictures but really indepth about each ride too and also each Disney hotel and alot of off site hotel ratings too. There are touring maps in the back which are for the die hard planner, good for going during busy times - I have only bought 1 copy of the Brit Guide but have bought the UGTWD for every trip, he also does a guide to sea world/universal.....there's a huge section on going with kids which i have never read but will be reading that part for our next trip as we now have DD....and also for oldies which one day i will need too - i be-grudingly lend my copies out but like them back to keep as i have loads of notes in there to refer back to.

I'll happily sit and read any guide book for Disney but I have to say my most thumbed through copy has to be the Unofficial Guide. The little extra bits of info to me are priceless.

I'm just waiting delivery of the 2011 Unofficial guide which I ordered earlier this week to get me in the mood!

I paid £8.04 with free delivery from Amazon which I didn't think was too bad

When is the new UG released?

I have got a Brits Guide from 2007/8 I think, I liked it but I already knew quite a lot of the info, I probably wouldn't buy it again unless we had a huge gap between trips and loads had changed.

Hi, I'll check out the UG thanks. We now have a DD too, and in the past i've kind of skipped over the "kiddie guide bits", but will now read them avidly!!
