I just saw the form for requesting vacation planning info and the video/dvd looked new. Does anyone know if there is a new one out?
Thanks!

We have the planning DVD and it has Cinderella Castle on the cover and says "Where The Magic Lives" I think that is the most recent.

How do you get this DVD?

Anyone ever request a new vaction planning video even though you already have an old one? My kids love to watch the old vaction planning video.

escapetodisney, I think lots of us can confess to having more than just one planning video. My own personal "stash" probably amounts to 20 . . . . . no, make that 25 . . . . no, make that . . . . .

Anyway, you get the idea. I generally get one for adults only and also one for families every time they come out. Been doing that since they began offering them years ago. Funny how I can't seem to part with any of them. (Although I still dislike the one from 1997 with that awful birthday-cake castle . . . . )

Here's a link to order:

Thanks for sharing that info Donna, I thought I was the only crazy who keeps a big collection of those videos!

nope, we have a collection !and we have 4 from 1999  we kept ordering hoping it would be the 2000 one but it wasn't! LOL!

I was so excited we could get it on DVD now...I like DVDs :)

I've requested the dvd a couple of times and never received it. Got a video instead. :(

They were out of DVD's when I ordered my new one so I got it on video. Does anyone know if the DVD has more on it than the video?

The DVDs are quite nice - obviously better picture quality and some nice little extras, like attraction "trailers", an interactive map and brief resort descriptions. I just wish that they'd put all three versions of the video on the DVD like they did back when they had the trip planning CD-ROM. They usually send me the Family or Pre-Family version, but in the past I've liked the Post-Family one by far the best.

We got videos for our 1997 and 2000 trips. In 2001 DW ordered one for the heck of it. She ended up winning a trip to Orlando from a radio contest shortly after that (in fact the video arrived in the mail an hour after she called me and told me she won. This year I saw it was available on DVD so I ordered it. About 2 weeks after that they announced the FTP and we decided to book a trip. So I'm now convinced that part of the Disney magic is when you order the video something happens to cause you to go.

You can bet I'll be ordering another video for 2004!!!!

Hey, I bet a few people on here could make a couple extra dollars by making copies of these old Disney videos.... I know one interested party!

Email me if anyone is interested! I would love to have a copy of these!

I have the one called "Where Magic Lives" and there is a graphic of a video on the page where you order and it is not the same graphic as the one I have.
The WML cover has the castle and some pixie dust and a big capital W. This cover on the WDW site has the castle from a different angle and fireworks. They might just be using a generic looking cover so they don't have to update the page every time they make a new video.
That, combined with the fact that earlier this year they were saying they were running out and would not be making new ones of that DVD makes me wonder if maybe there is a new one after "Where Magic Lives."
I guess if there is a new one, no one here has it yet.

Just a note: We were at the YC a couple of weeks ago and I accidentally walked into an area where they were getting ready to shoot something and I overheard a guy say it was the new planning video. Maybe it's for next year?

I'm bummed, you can only order a video from Canada!!!! I would love to have gotten a dvd!!!

When I went over there just now, they didn't give me an option for video or DVD. Do they decide for you?

I looked at the order form about 2 weeks ago. At that time the options were VHS or DVD. That option is gone now. I guess they ran out of DVD's again.
