We leave on July 20th, just wondering when I migth expect them? :confused3

Yep, you should. Call whomever you booked your room reservation with. Make sure you have a reservation. Then have then ship you your packet the fastest way possible.
We're hearing of this happening more and more lately. Not sure why though.

I don't know if the timing has changed, but a few years back when we last used ME, we didn't receive out documents until about 14 days before the trip. I don't know if it was different because we booked through a travel agent at that time.

I think that when you book through a travel agent they send the ME packet to the TA, Then the TA sends them to you.

The normal timing has been 4-5 weeks before departure date. If you use a travel agent, it takes more time...the agent gets the info packet and has to send it on to the guest, which takes at least an extra week or so.

As of last Monday, 6/22, I hadn't received mine. When I called them, they had a record of having sent them on 6/1. I never received them. They resent them on 6/22 and I received them on 6/26. I am in NY.

You should probably call and see if they were sent, because if they were and you haven't gotten them yet, there is still time for them to send another set.

Definitely call. We leave July 23rd and have had ours for several weeks. Good luck. :goodvibes

Thanks for all of the advice! I booked this myself directly through Disney over the phone, room only reservation. When I look up my ressie online, I can see my flight information was added.

I did end up calling this afternoon, and without even looking up my ressie, the CM just asked if I was 2 weeks or less away from my arrival date. When I said no, she said I should have it soon and to call back if I don't have it by 2 weeks out.

Now that I hear that some of you have yours already, I think I'll call back tomorrow and ask them to pull my ressie up and see if they've been sent.

Just wanted to let you know mine wasn't a package, it was room only as well.

We have 2 rooms booked for July 17th. I received ME packet for 1 room on June 11th, but still haven't received anything for other room. I contacted my TA and she contacted Disney on June 22nd. Still waiting. :confused3

I leave tomorrow and never did receive mine but am still listed and using it.

I did call but they did not send out another package - just told me to show up at the desk with my luggage receipts and I would be good to go.

I wish I had the tags but I will manage.

Liz

Well, still no tags....

I've called a couple different times, thinking a different CM would have a different answer. But I keep getting the same, that they are sent out around 2 weeks before checkin....sigh....

I've heard others mention that I can still use DME even if my luggage is not tagged? How does that work? :confused3

What they told me was that if I didn't get my tags on time, just take the baggage claim tickets to the desk. As long as you are listed with them for the ME service, there shouldn't be a problem, or so the CM told me.

It's too bad this is happening so frequently now. I am one of those people that just isn't comfortable giving my claim receipts to someone and 'hoping' they get my bags. Way too much room for error. So, what happens if they forget to check for my bags??? Now, my bags are going to end up in the unclaimed baggage area, I no longer have baggage claim receipts...nope, if I don't get those yellow tags, I'm getting my own bags and bringing them with me, to the bus.

I think I would be a little anxious about it too, mostly because our first day plan is to check in at ASSp and then head directly over to Epcot to spend the day. It's EMH at Epcot until midnight and knowing my kids and Test Track, it could be way after midnight when we come dragging back to the room. I cannot imagine finding out then that our bags didn't make it! I am so hoping these tags show up in time!

Similar situation... I actually booked through Expedia because it had Pop listed at $89 a night instead of Disney's $109 a night. Granted, I could have called Disney with a code to get the $89 but I figured it would take more time and it irritated me that Disney was making it more difficult to get the rate that I could easily get elsewhere.

Mistake! Now everything is through Expedia, and Disney never seems to have a record of me. Magical Express at first couldn't find my reservation when I called to check, but finally "found" me a couple of weeks ago when Expedia called them - apparently my name had been misspelled. Yet it was not misspelled on my Expedia or ME confirmations. Sigh. But the point of my post really is, ME claimed on the phone to have sent out my packet and tags almost 2 weeks ago. They haven't come and I leave on the 19th. I guess I'll call them Monday.

Well, I called Disney (again) this morning on my way to work, and finally talked to a CM who agreed that I should already have my luggage tags. She gave me a direct number to call DME. Talked to a great CM there who told me they had been sent out June 12th! :sad2:

Verified they had the correct address, and she re-sent them today. Now, I am just hoping they will get here in time.

I finally received my second set of tags today. It took 2 calls from my TA to Disney. They were mailed on 7/6. I hope the rest of you who are still waiting also receive yours soon!
