New Twist... Does it not end? Oh I wish I never won this trip

Now just when I think everything is back on track. DD calls home today from college in tear's. She said Mom, Laura just informed me that she can not go on the trip! Turns out the money she had saved for the trip she spend on other things, and her parents have now told her she can not go.

So my DD does have another girl that can go. I said you know that is fine at least Laura told you in plenty of time and was honest. I told DD that whoever she ask to go, that they must now pay for there own plane ticket, as I do not see Disney to pay for another one!

I also feel that with some financial investment here the other girl will not back out. Plane ticket would cost her around $150.00

Oh this has to end, I wish I never won this trip! All the other ones I planned that I paid for and not one problem. Trust me it is hard when your planning for a large number. No where is that Rum Bottle........lol lol lol I know all will work out.

But there may be MORE twists coming up, just be prepared for them. I have to admit: I don't even KNOW 8 people to share a trip with, so if I had won, I would most likely not qualify, as I would tell them I don't know 8 people. Good Luck.

You know, I was just thinking that if I won a trip to Disney for any more than one person, I probably could not find anyone to go with me. So, I don't find it hard to believe that you are having problems.

Don't worry, the stress will all be removed when you finally make it to WDW. The weather in Florida is beautiful today, it must be in the high 70's and sunny.

I'm sure it is frustrating to try to coordinate all the details. If I won a trip for 8, I'm not certain who I would invite.. probably my parents, (they've never been), and maybe my sister and her kids...

Not wishing to add to your problems, but did they discuss tax ramifications with you? A friend of mine won a trip for his family to Denver. It was through a local radio station. The value of the trip turned out to be about $3000. He had to pay tax on the value of the trip. I hope they talked to you about this.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I'm sure your trip will be great. If you don't end up with 8 people, so what? Just focus on you and your daughter and you'll have a wonderful time, I'm sure. It's your trip - you won it.
