New TV with Wifi?

We are looking at getting a new TV for my son. Well, we usually use a hand me down progression at our house.

DW and I will get a new TV for our bedroom. DS will get our old bedroom TV, DS2 will get the the TV from DS1. And DS2 old beat up TV will be retired to a garage sale.

We currently have a 32" Vizio that is mounted on the wall in our bedroom. I want to stay at a 32" or go to a 37" for our room, but want to add the wifi option to the TV. We stream Netflix quite a bit.

Has anyone bought a 32" or 37" with wifi TV lately. Any info/details would really help out!

I'm not sure what kind of info you are needing? Brand? Ease of setup?

Our experience has been with a Vizio (albeit a 24"). It has built in wifi (no adapter needed). Very easy to setup.
We stream Netflix only on that tv.

My only complaint with that particular model is that the sound is terrible. We have 2 speakers and a subwoofer for it, so that problem was fixed.
I just read all the comments about that particular TV (one neg was the sound so I can't act surprised that it was so terrible). But the price was fantastic ($175 including tax and shipping) so I bought it.

Not really any info specific to your size, so consider it a bump!

We have been buying Vizio's lately. We have 2 and have had no problems with them at all. I would love to buy a Vizio again.

I just don't keep up on info with this. I want a budget friendly TV. I was hoping for a 32" or 37" with Wifi for under $400.

have you checked Amazon? That is where I got mine. Sams Club and Costco have them too. Just be sure you won't need the wifi adapter. Good luck!

PS this is our 2nd also, no problems either.

I have a 55" Samsung LED TV with "Smart TV". I was convinced that I needed this feature, but in reality we've barely used it at all. We still use the Tivo to stream Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, etc.

If I had it to do over, I would have bought a basic Roku box instead of springing for the Smart TV.

Be aware that some brands require an adapter to use the Smart TV feature, including the Samsung that I bought. The adapter was $70 extra, but through some research I found a much less expensive brand that worked exactly the same.

It looks like you bought a TV that was wifi ready rather than built in.

We receive our streaming netflix through 3 different methods.

On our big one in the LR pulls it in through the bluray player.

Our bedroom one pulls it in through the Wi

Our dining room gets it through the built in.

All 3 work differently for Netflix. The streaming is the same, but the format is different.
My older bluray can only stream, you can't use it to download new movies, that has to be done on the computer.
My dining room one that streams through the TV has a hard time remembering what episode we watched last.
The bedroom with the Wi is about the best. Good memory.

I have a Sony Bravia with wifi. I don't really use it. I prefer the Roku box for ease of use. The Bravia's interface is more difficult.

While I like having the WiFi option, I've ran ethernet cables to all of our televisions in the house. Services like Netflix lower the resolution based upon your connection strength. When my daughter is watching Netflix, I can see a difference in my Internet speed due to demands upon the WiFi.

With ethernet cables this doesn't happen.

I think we must have a great connection strength. We can each stream in 2 different rooms and there is no loss of quality, on wifi, gratefully.

I also have a distance problem with my WiFi since the router is in my home office at the far end of the house. But with the cables run to every device, we are smoking fast.
