New TV Shows - Fall Premiers - Update Your Opinion!

So - what have we watched so far? How did we like it?

Bull - CBS: I thought the plot of the first episode was predictable and some of the dialogue was trite but I like the premise and think it's got potential. We'll be watching it regularly.

The Good Place - NBC: Despised this show beyond words. It's been deleted from my DVR and we shall never speak of it again.

This is Us - NBC: Really, really liked it, especially when the common thread binding the characters "dawned" on me. I'm hoping it'll be good enough to replace Parenthood, which we've missed ever since it wrapped.

We also started watching Better Things and Atlanta, both on FX. Didn't even get through the premier episodes. We won't be watching either one of them again.

I'm looking forward to Survivor and Greys Anatomy. I also saw This is Us and loved it.

Recorded This is Us, but haven't watched yet.

Also missed Kevin Can Wait, but I have a strong feeling all the best stuff is in the trailer.

I have several set up to watch. So far only saw Kevin Can Wait and was a little disappointed.

I haven't watched anything new yet, but I enjoyed the return of SHIELD last night. I plan to at least check out Lethal Weapon, Designated Survivor, and Pitch (I have high hopes for that one). I may watch that time travel show too, but I don't think it actually starts until next month.

ETA: I really loved the preview of Son of Zorn. I'll be watching that.

I watched Bull and This is Us last night.

I really wanted to like Bull. I think they are almost there, but I hope it gets better as the season progresses. I do not like the blonde woman who works for Bull. Her character provides a lot of necessary background, but the part is not well-written and it sounds like she is reading her lines.

I really liked This is Us, and I will make an effort to watch every week. I did not get the plot connection until the very end, and I really liked it. I felt connected to the characters already and can't wait to see what happens to them.

Glad to see a lot of old favorites back and have a couple other new ones set to record when they do come on

Did not get to see This is Us because NCIS:New Orleans came on at the same time (no DVR for me). I HATED the new person who will be taking Brody's place, so now I will be watching This is Us real time and catch NCIS:NO online so I can FF through her parts.

Bull was OK. I really want it to stick because I love Michael Weatherly, but we'll see. The only other character I even remotely liked was the stylist guy that also plays in Hamilton on Broadway. Hope the others get better!

Can't wait for Designated Survivor tonight!

I LOVED This Is Us. I knew in the first scene that I would be hooked. Just like Scandal!

Got This Is Us on DVR and watching tonight. Really looking forward to it. Also waiting for Designated Survivor and Speechless. My DW wants to try Lethal Weapon so I will give it a chance with her. Also looking forward to the blackish WDW episode.

I liked the first episodes of The Good Place and of Speechless.

Designated Survivor and Pitch are the only other new shows on my roster.

I was real excited to watch the new Kevin James comedy but was disappointed. Didn't care for his wife at all.

I liked The Good Place, I will keep watching, unless it goes horrible wrong.
Loved This is Us! The connection at the end was wonderful, and a bit unexpected!

I wasn't crazy about The Good Place, but I'm going to give it another chance or two.

I liked Bull a lot. Sure, it was predictable, but I really love MW. I was really entertained by it, more than the new episode of NCIS or NCIS: NO.

I had heard that This is Us was going to have a twist, and I was worried that it would be something supernatural. So I loved what it was. I loved Gerard McRaney, hope we can see that character again.

I have Kevin Can Wait sitting in the DVR, and I'm starting to think I won't watch. I really was hoping it would be good, because it's set in my town!

I'm waiting for Designated Survivor, and I think I'm going to add Pitch to the DVR.

I'm still sad that there won't be any more new episodes of Castle.

Saw most of The Good Place and I'm not decided. It has potential to be much more than what it's purported to be, so I'm going to see if it gels.

This is Us is on the DVR and I'm trying not to get spoiled before I get a chance to watch.

Crossing my fingers for some really good new stuff as a nice surprise.

I'm also eager for Designated Survivor, and I decided to give MacGyver a chance since it may fit well with Hawaii 5-0 and Blue Bloods. I don't have anything else new in the DVR, but I see This is Us will be rebroadcast Saturday night so maybe I will give it a watch since everyone seems so happy with it
