it's been pretty quiet around here. What's shakin bacon?

Looks like alot of our friends are taking a break right now or waiting for insurance or waiting for test results or waiting for nature to take it's course. It's a whole lotta waiting which is nothing that we are not used to unfortunately. With TTC the one thing you learn is waiting. . . builds patience and also pushes the limits on frustration at the same time. . . Double edge sword! That's why we are all going to make excellent parents! Cause we will have this patience thing down pat!

How's your day today?:goodvibes

Tink and Pooh ~ Did you see your dr again yet and get any clarification on that cyst?

yeah you're right, there IS a lot of waiting!! I hope everyone gets some answers soon. And we WILL make AWESOME parents!!!!!!!

Well our a/c went out last night. So I'm VERY glad it's not too hot out today! Also we luckily have 2 a/c units. One that cools the living area of the house (foyer, kitchen, living room, utility room) and there's a door that separates the bedrooms/bathrooms of the house. The back a/c is the one that went out. I am thanking dear Jesus that we still have our home warranty (we've renewed it the past 2 years, we've been in our house over 3 yrs now) because it's only costing us $60 for a service man to come out. And whatever is wrong, the warranty covers. :thumbsup2

Worst case scenario, and he doesn't come for a couple days or they can't get it fixed right away, we can sleep in the living room. Last night actually wasn't too bad, we love our bed too much to leave it unless it's REALLY uncomfortable in there. :rotfl: It cooled off enough last night, it was actually 76 degrees in the back when I woke up this morning. Not too shabby. And my temp didn't seem affected by it.

Hello girlies!

Well, I'm going to have to go see my dentist....I may end up needing a root canal. Hope not. Ick. I want to get it done quickly.

I got a portable dvd player on shopgoodwill so I can now watch my fave movies on it. Tried it out, works great. I'm bidding on a laptop and I will get it if it kills me! LOL.

Ken's fine. Working.

So, that's what's new with me so far. What's up with you?

Gabbie

Any news from the Dentist Gabbie?

Not to much around here. I was supposed to get a packet sent home re the IVF meeting on Tuesday and still haven't gotten it yet.:headache: I called and left a message so I'm hoping to hear from someone soon that maybe I could pick it up. I'm a tad bit ticked!

Oh well, what ya gonna do?

Tink and Pooh ~ how goes it girl?

Hi ladies!! I hope everyone had a great week! I am so excited for the weekend and only 18 days until Disney!!!!!! YAY!!!!

I finally got AF on my own, which made my dr very happy and me! :goodvibes So, now I am on CD5 and will start my OPKs in about 4-5 days. I am hoping that the Disney Magic helps with this cycle!

lovinWDW, yay for AF on your own, and yay for Disney in 18 days!!!! jealous!!

Eilis, things are good. I'm 6 dpo today! I don't know if you chart (or any of the others here) but here is my chart....

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/24a255

As you can see, my temp was pretty stellar today. And yesterday I had a strange feeling. It happened three times and was like a very subtle vibration in my uterine area. It lasted about 5 minutes each time. Not painful, but very distracting. (I even waited to eat my food til it went away, when I was out at lunch). It's almost like that tingly feeling you get when your foot or hand goes to sleep and then it starts "waking up". But different. Another way to describe is kind of like a cat purring.

I'm TRYING not to get my hopes up. Trying to forget how great my temp is, etc. LOL Cause it doesn't always mean anything

How are you doing Eilis?? Remind me when your next appointment is?

OMGoodness you are over the half way mark! Sounds like things are lookin good so I'll stay on the prayers for you;)

My next appointment is on Tuesday at 8AM. We go in basically for a whole day of IVF training. I read over some stuff yesterday and I was a little overwhelmed to tell you the truth. Normal people just get pregnant and they don't have time to think about what can happen in the mean time. With us there is to much thinking time. Of course my mom had surgery on her knee last week and is hopped up on pain pills so when I call she really can't focus. It's probably just God's way of protecting us from driving each other crazy:love:

Crappy rainy day here today. I'm going to get everything waxed that I can! Gonna go for the whole enchelada since Mike and I have been joking about it I figured so many women rave about it so I may as well try it and do it now as opposed to the week before I leave for WDW hopped up on RE drugs and hating everything as it is and not happy that my girly bits hurt!

Aren't you glad you asked???

Ugg wish there was something else your dr could do about the cyst! Which insurance are you switching to?

I have a dental appointment at 1:15 on Thurs. :goodvibes:wizard:

Now for some good news.....open enrollment at the casino where Kenny works at opens this fall and we are eligible for their medical insurance!!!!!! They have the best in the state! :woohoo: So, if I need any fertility treatments, we'll probably wait till it goes into effect and then start on it. Oh girls! I may be a mommy yet!

More good news....my flights were free for June. I got gift cards from my boss.

The big surprise......Kenny does not know this.....next year for our anniversary (5 years marriage)....if we can and I get get all my discounts (travel writer discounts) and everything, we're gonna go see grandpa................................................................

In Japan. :cool1:

He lives in Hokkaido (kinda like Aspen, CO.) so we'll be there a few days and see Tokyo and of course................TDL! :cloud9: But we'll have to wait and see how it pans out of course. Ssshh!

Gabbie

Eilis, it was very rainy here this morning. In fact I got jolted from sleep this morning by TERRIBLE hail!! First I heard it hitting the bedroom window, thought it was going to bust through!! Then it just escalated, worse and worse until it sounded like it was in the ceiling, it was SO loud!! Sounded like freakin bombs were hitting the house!

Anyway I'm excited for your plan!! You'll have to keep us updated on all the details. I hope the meds aren't too bad -- I know you will be taking several injections a day and I only took one, but I thought I was going to feel extra hormonal during that time and I really didn't. So hopefully they won't affect you too much. Good luck for Tuesday!!

Did you go get waxed? How was it?

Gabbie I'm jealous of all your travels! You sure have a lot to keep your mind off of TTC. LOL That's great about the insurance, just fabulous!

OK. I talked to Kenny about Japan and figured he would tell me no......

he said yes! He said he would love to see Kado (grandpa) and see our family and Japan again!

We may try to go next year, if not, we'll wait till the year after. But, we're looking into it. I found some great hotels that were priced at great deals as low as $200 ish for 3 nights!!!!! :woohoo:

Kenny and I are also looking for a better car around the end of the year. We are looking for a decent used car at a good price a month.

I'm going back to school this summer and into the fall. Taking Journalism and French. I would love to take Japanese, but Kenny told me I could just buy a tape to learn Japanese.....too many verbs to learn. :scared1:

So, that's what is up with us now. What's going on here? Any news on the ttc front?

Gabbie

Have you gone for the waxing yet? It isn't so bad at all. Just make sure you cut everything as short as you can before going and take some tylenol or advil (3 or 4), if you can, about an hour before you plan to get the waxing. I was so scare the first time I went :scared: but it wasn't nearly as bad as I imagined

Ugg wish there was something else your dr could do about the cyst! Which insurance are you switching to?

DH just told me last night that we aren't switching insurance after all, we had BC/BS and we will still have BC/BS. I'm not sure if that is good or not, our local hospital stopped taking BC/BS a year or two ago so a lot of doctors around have also stopped taking it.

OK so waxing completed! I got to know my lady a little more then I thought I would! I am used to legs, underarms; lip and bikini but as I said, I was going for it! Well I did to a point:rotfl: Modified brazillian where I got to call the shots. You'd expect after all we go through with people looking at our girly bits all the time I'd be ok with it. But adding hot wax to the mix kinda gives it a whole new charm:scared1: I am very happy with the results though and feel good. I did take 2 advil before I will definately do it again:thumbsup2 Absolutely wasn't as bad as I had worked myself up to think.

Cheri ~ It is raiining cats and dogs here today! I thought that Mike was outside mowing the lawn or something till I looked out the window and realized it was the rain on the windows!:scared1: I love stormy days. Nothing compared to what you all got yesterday! Everyone ok by you?
