Esbrick - definitely keeping my fingers crossed for you

Well I am confident I either ovulated yesterday or today...had lots of pain in that region but since I'm not temping I can't confirm it that way. But I did have a positive OPK on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. So now the dreaded 2WW. I do have my appt next Friday to look forward to either way.

Soontobewed....so sorry the 150 didn't do it for you. I am a crazy lady on 50 and the ovulation pain is pretty intense so my sympathies are with you on the higher does with still no results. Good luck on the next step!

Mrs. Charming - keeping you and your little bean in my prayers.

I gotta get back to work....but I'm thinking of all you ladies daily and keeping you in my prayers.

Been there. Done that. Bought the t-shirt.
Hang in there girlfriend! IUI w/ clomid not so bad. Not the way we picture our baby to begin, but if it works :thumbsup2.

I am not excited about shots. I was on insulin for my pregnancy with DS so I know what that is like and After the cramping I am having after this Sonohyst I am pretty much almost done!

:grouphug: We'll be here when you need us!!!

Esbrick- Still holding out hope. Fingers crossed.

MrsCharming- See you put up a ticker good for you. 7 weeks time is already flying by.

As for me Nothing Nada Zip- I had my U/S today and not one single follicle on 150mg of clomid. The doctor was shocked at least on the 50mg I had some activity. So it's provera and a shed then shots and an IUI. My DH seems thrilled :rotfl: he actually has to put in some effort now.:sad2:

So I didn't think I was ever going to have to go thru this I thought the clomid would do it but I guess not.

Also had a sonohyst today and my tubes are clear so who knows whats wrong. I am going to start running tonight and see if I can loose some weight maybe that will help.

that's so strange. It's weird how a higher dose could produce NO follicles?? I know this isn't the same, but for me this time around they had upped my meds (tamoxifen, a little gentler fertility drug) and my follicles were slower to develop this time! So you just never can tell what our bodies are going to do.

I pray that you can get AF over with quickly and that the injectibles are just what you need to get your BFP.

Thanks Everyone.

I have to ask how are your husbands doing with all of this? My DH is willing to go and do what needs to be done but is so uncomfortable with it. I feel bad Any tips on this sensitive matter?

well, my DH doesn't have to do anything anymore. But it took several months before he would go get his s/a. So there was a while that we were trying and not knowing that we were just whistling in the wind. Men are just not like us. I don't think they will ever be as "cool with it" as we are. (I'm not going to say 'comfortable' because most of these things are pretty discomforting....)

You just have to reinforce to him that no matter what either of you is doing, you are a TEAM! And you are together working towards your goal. If he keeps that in his head it will make things easier -- though he probably won't ever be fully 'comfortable' with it.

Each IUI cycle was tough for him. Never quite comfortable, but he did what needed to be done. He just kept his eye on the prize he told me. ;)

Just checking in the computer will not let me look at the posts on here not sure why.

Did anyone have severe pain after their sonohystogram? I have been having really bad pain yesterday could barely walk and today it feels like my uterus is going to fall out??? It's getting better by the day but it still hurts.

Hey guys. I just had my follow up with my doctor to go over all my blood tests and he said everything looked great, but he also said that because of my really long cycles my chances of getting pregnant aren't very good :headache:. He gave me a prescription for clomid, but I said we were going to wait till after our trip to Europe this spring to give it a try. He made clomid sound like no big deal- but to me it is! I think it just makes me nervous because my husband and I already decided that clomid is as far as we are willing to go, after that we'll just keep trying and hope for a miracle and adopt if that miracle doesn't happen (well if we can get the money too). So it scares me that trying clomid is approaching so quickly.

Still crossing my fingers that I am already pregnant. 6 more days left in the TWW, and I think a few more of you are in the TWW now too - Good luck everyone!

Kronks girl - I got pregnant with DD on my first cycle of clomid.
Best of luck to you....and hopefully you won't even need it :)

Unfortunately I am on my third round of clomid this time and in the very beginning of the 2ww so only time will tell. I think we would be willing to do IUI....but I've been doing research here lately and I'm just not sure it's worth the lousy statistics I see for success that go along with it. I go to the doctor next Friday and will talk to her then about where we should be headed now. I did get a fertility monitor that I will start using this next cycle too. I'm trying to stay optimistic but it's not easy.

This is my concern with IUI. A lot of insurance companies (mine included) won't cover it, and it's a lot of money to fork out for a procedure with such a modest success rate.

A couple of cycles of that, and I wouldn't even be able to AFFORD a baby if I got pregnant!

The poor success rate of IUI is one reason I'm glad our doc moved us to IVF after only one IUI. I didn't think we would want to do anything, but we ended up being more interested in interventions as time went on.

Good luck everybody, I want to hear some more good news from this thread!

Kronk's girl,

I got pregnant twice on Clomid. I had no side effects other than some night sweats a few times. I took it before bed so I wouldn't have to deal with any side effects if there were any.

The hardest part was going to an internal ultrasound to check the thickness of my uterine lining after a few months.

Thanks guys- I know many of you have tried clomid or are about to try it, so I have a good little support group when/if we get to that point. He did mention the sweats thing...too bad waiting till after spring will put us at trying it in the summer time when it's already 100 degrees! Haha, this will be interesting.

I hope this last round works for you WDWorbust! Soontobewed, that totally stinks that the higher dose didn't work for you, I hope IUI does it for you

Ok girls, I've started cutting down on the caffeine. Kenny says he has his bags packed and is ready to go to his mothers. :rotfl: Serious pop addict here. Love coffee and chocolate too. I'm thinking of looking into caffeine free coffee. I am going to switch to as much decaf stuff as possible. I've started drinking more milk and juice and water.

My dx told me it was a good idea to do this before we even tried. I'm trying to lose more weight and get everything ready. My pants are all getting too big for me! :woohoo:

My gyno put me on protein shakes due to my inability to absorb nutrients. (I have IBS). I have to get a lot of protein in my body.

So, that's what I'm doing for now.

Blowing baby dust around to us all. :flower3:pixiedust:

Anna

Good luck Kennywife! I am not a caffeine drinker, so I guess I am glad I don't have to give that up. If you haven't tried it already you should look into quinoa. Is is yummy, super healthy and full of protein. I have a good quinoa stuffed bell pepper recipe if you want it, but I am sure you can find great recipes online too. Sounds like you are doing great already!

Any news yet from anyone? I want good news on here! :)

Morning Ladies! Went for a base line u/s this am. Things look good and lining is thin and no follicles that are to big so I'm where I should be:) according to Nurse Amy. Tomorrow I start clomid in the evening and then I go back for another u/s on 2/6 and provided I'm good to go maybe iui on 2/7. Now you know things never go as planned but you know me, at least it's a plan! I have a good feeling on this one. :goodvibes It was weird I was driving along and all of the sudden I got happy and a good feeling!:thumbsup2 I just need to hold onto it and that's what I'm gonna do!:lovestruc

Anna ~ I haven't had caffeine in 4 days! I can't say how long it's gonna go on but i can tell you that I think that decaffinated orange spice tea makes you gassy!:laughing:

Good luck ladies! I'm thinking of ya! Positive thoughts and baby dust for everyone!pixiedust:
