Hi everyone. Hope you all are doing well. Nothing exciting here, same story as the previous few months, lol.

That's great news Allie that you will start fostering soon!

allie, good luck in your new adventure! I hope everything works out for you.:goodvibes

Anyone have plans for the weekend? We have nothing and I am so excited! We haven't had a free weekend in a while. I have my pre-op appt on Tuesday.

We dont' really have plans as my husband is working overnight Saturday. I'll probably take my kids to the playground, oh, and I think the pool opens this Friday so maybe we can try that too.

Skuttle, I just noticed you're from LA. My husband is from New Orleans and his whole family lives there. Well, his little brother is in Baton Rouge at LSU, but other than him they are all in NO. We're heading down there in October for the first time in 3 years. Wow, I can't believe it's been so long! It really gets tough to travel with work and kids I guess.

Boltfans, we actually live right outside of Baton Rouge. I went to LSU for undergrad and law school and DH also graduated from LSU. :) We both grew up in a small town about 1.5 hours southeast of Baton Rouge. We don't get down there nearly as much as we used to. It does get harder. That's why I'm thrilled that we have nothing to do this weekend! If my mom asks, I plan on lying and saying we have plans because I need a free weekend!

Hi again. Just checking in, hope everyone is doing well. Still sticking with the plan for this month, soon it will be the much dreaded, TWW. :dance3:

Skuttle - My mom has been complaining that we haven't gone to see her since December too, but it is just impossible with our schedules lately. Plus, she's a 4-5 hour drive from here (she's in NJ, we're in DC) And my mom has been here about every other month, so not like we haven't seen her at all. But anyway, I know what you mean about just being able to enjoy the time at home.

That's neat that you guys went to LSU too. My BIL has idolized that school since he was a baby, seriously. He actually went to BRCC for a year before LSU (he didn't think he'd get into LSU so he didn't even apply as a senior!) and loved living in BR so it made the desire to go to LSU that much stronger. You guys really have a ton of support for that school. Everytime we're in WDW, we always see a ton of people in purple and gold, LSU hats, shirts, etc. Kinda neat for my husband as we never really see any fans up here.

Chloe - The 2WW is so hard. I'll wish you luck and hope this is the month!

I'm halfway through this month's 2WW as we speak and I'm going crazy. I was never a good temp-er, just my own forgetfulness really. I'd start out well in the beginning of each cycle, then a kid would wake me up or something else that wasn't routine, then I'd forget that day and it would throw me off of remembering to do it everyday. My dr really wanted me to get a chart this month though, since my FSH levels were fine so I "should" be ovulating, so he wants to see my temps to be sure I am. So I actually have been really vigilant and have set an alarm for just before my son wakes up each morning and have been temping. I saw a definite rise so I know I did in fact O this month, and it coincided with the fertility monitor "peak, and the positive OPK. Then at 5DPO I had a temp drop, and it's been back up the past 3 days, slightly higher than the first 4 DPO. So now of course it has me wondering if it is triphasic and if so, am I normally triphasic, or is this a positive sign? It's totally messing with me emotionally cause it has my hopes up, but another part of me is more logical and says it must be like this every month and I just dont know cause I never temp-ed well. Argh.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I tried to read everything but alot has happened the last few weeks.

Allison - good luck with your surgery next week. Enjoy your weekend with nothing to do. I am loving that we have no plans for three whole days.

Boltfans and chloe - Hope the 2WW goes fast.

We are still hoping every month that I get a BFP but as I get closer to 40 I have begun to resign myself to the fact that it won't happen. I am slowly coming around to being okay with that although I would be estatic if I did get a BFP!

The kids have two more weeks of school and I am trying to figure out what they are going to do all summer while I am at work. I have all but four weeks figured out. If I can't come up with anything their school runs a summer program but they say it is boring. They may just have to deal with it for a few weeks.

Baby Dust to everyone!

HI Momsully! Nice to see you again.

If you find a way to accept or come around to being 40 and not getting a BFP let me know. I'm still having a hard time with that. ;)

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

I am not there yet but there are times I think how crazy am I to want to start over with a new baby. We just got back from a long hike with the kids, something that we could not do when they were little.

Any big camping adventures this way this summer?

momsully...after our WDW trip in November with DS, I had the same feelings. Thinking I was crazy to want to start all over again with a new baby when we had such a blast with DS at WDW...he didn't whine, he took a nap when asked to do so, he's big enough for some of the thrill rides, no potty issues...it was just A LOT of fun. It really did make me think that maybe we should just stop with DS.

Boltfans, we are also always amazed at the number of LSU fans we see at WDW. If you ever go to WDW during Mardi Gras, it's even worse! Last time we went for Mardi Gras, in 2008, we ran into my old dance instructor twice at two different parks on different days! Small world. ;) LSU does have a huge fan base. A lot of fans are just fans...not graduates of the school. That always puzzled me a bit. I always associate college fans as grads of that school. I guess when the pro-football team it town doesn't do much but the college team does pretty well, the fans pop up every where. Good luck with the rest of your TWW!

I had my pre-op visit this morning for the hysteroscopy. I'll actually have it done at my dr's office with iv sedation. She still doesn't know what could have caused the scar tissue since I haven't had any of the problems or procedures that usually cause it. She thinks maybe something happened when I had ds. If all goes well we can try again 6 weeks after. I'm so bummed about that, but I don't have any other options. I keep staring at the clomid I filled but couldn't take, wondering if it would help. I know I can't take it but I want to so bad! AF should arrive over the weekend so I may have it done by the end of next week.

What day are you going? I'll be thinking about you and praying for you! Waiting is rough.

Another (small) step toward financial readiness-our furniture will be paid off within the next 2 months. We financed our living room (paid off 6 mos ago) and bedroom ($500 left) for 0% interest last year. Once we pay off the bedroom, we'll have some money that can be redirected. Not a ton, but a definite sum. We're putting all of our reimbursement checks into there, so hopefully we'll start to see some accumulation. We're also at the point in the month where we can see if there's any extra to put in, so hopefully there is!

Courtney, congrats on the savings!! You'll be there before you know it!

I'm not sure what day my procedure will be yet. Depends on AF. They have to do it after I stop bleeding, but before CD10. AF should arrive this weekend. The nurse and I are hoping to have the procedure done next Friday so that I can take the weekend to recover as needed. Of course I started googling the procedure, IV sedation, etc. and started freaking myself out so I stopped! I *might* need another HSG afterwards, but my dr sounded like she thinks I probably won't. At least I had a decent experience with my last HSG, so if I do need another, I'd be okay. I just can't believe I will have to wait out probably two cycles! Ugh!

Not this year. We're going east this time (PA & DC) so I can add more states to my map below.
My DH is celebrating his 40th too, but not until Dec. You've got to come to WI some time. Great hiking trails, fishing and boating. Summers are just gorgeous too. :thumbsup2

Starting all over would be fine with me. Heck, I'd just put the baby in a back carrier and take him/her hiking too.

Skuttle - wishing you well on your upcoming surgery!

Aurora - Sounds like you'll have that money in no time.

Skuttle - Bummer on having to sit out 2 cycles, but I guess the bright side is that you might be done with the procedure by next weekend and then you're that much closer to your IUI. Oh, and I think I would have huge issues with just staring at the Clomid and not being able to take it.

I think what you said about LSU's fan base spanning the state, not just alumni of the school, is what gets me too. You bring up a very good point about the Saints not doing well though, I am sure that has a lot to do with it.

Aurora - That's great news that you are going to be able to start putting more money towards your IVF soon.

I know it's still really early so I debated whether or not I should even post this yet or not, but I think this might be my month. I still have 3 more days till AF is due an I vowed a few months back to stop testing early, but the past 5 days or so I've felt kinda nauseous at night and have even ahd heartburn, which never happens to me, other than when I was pregnant with my kids. Thing is though, with them, it didn't start till I was many months along, never as an early sign. I did get nausea/vomiting with both of them, but it started at 5.5 weeks with both. So I figured it was all in my mind (wouldn't be the first time) and I tested Monday, just to torment myself as I was only 10 DPO, and I sorta saw an extremely faint line. I didn't even mention it to my husband as I knew he'd think I was insane for even trying to see such a faint line (in fact, I still haven't told him cause yesterday's line was still pretty light and he left for work before I tested today). I restested yesterday morning, and twice today, and they are getting darker each time so I think that's a good sign. With my others I didn't test till I was late so I have no experience with an early positive line, but I'm hoping. Of course, since AF isn't even due yet, I am trying not to get too excited because I know a lot of things could still happen. I am just so hoping that this is it because next month marks 1 year of trying, and my birthday is Monday and the whole "year older" that was impending was making all this seem way much for me.

Hi Skuttle. I sat out the cycle when I had my hysteroscopy last fall. It was a bummer, but before I knew it, it was time to try again. I had my hysteroscopy in the OR with an anesthesia and surgical team there, and my RE did the procedure. Then I was in the recovery room for a couple of hours, than home. I went right to sleep once I got home and slept for hours and hours. (I think it was from the anesthesia still in my system) The procedure wasn't bad at all, I was completely out. I did need pain medication for a couple of days, but that's what it's there for, and I was okay as long as I took it.

Best of luck with everything!

Hi Aurora. You guys are making quick progress. Pretty soon you'll be at your goal!!!

Thanks Chloe. I'm pretty nervous since I've never had any sort of surgery before. I've been lucky. I'm hoping that this next cycle we'll sit out and then we'll get the go ahead for the next one. I'm really hoping we don't have to sit out two!

Boltfans...good luck!

Hi Skuttle. We definitely only had to sit out one cycle. I was fine by the next one, and I'm sure you will be too! I was completely out for the surgery and don't remember one second of it, piece of cake! I had a burst of energy in the recovery room, and then totally crashed when I got home. Be prepared to sleep!
