I'm a few days out from going for a baseline ultrasound, hopefully. If the cysts are gone, it will be another medicated cycle for me, with the injectables and the works. If it doesn't work, I think the next attempt would be IUI, but I'm not sure we can afford that, yet. We want to build our savings a little more first, especially since my insurance won't cover any of the office visits or meds if I'm doing IUI.

I am sending positive thoughts for this month!!!

P.S. - Congrats on your weight loss. Wow, three sizes down is a lot!!!

Thanks Chloe! I start Provera (sp?) today. Hopefully that will get things started again. Although on the practical side I am not looking forward to having AF again. It is nice not to have it! I feel you about gaining weight! I do the same!

Hi all. Went for day 10 U/S today. I'm not sure if the clomid has made much of a difference. I had two follicles on the left and one on the right - all 8-12mm. I probably could have just waited till Monday since I took the clomid day 5-9 but I was really curious what was going on in there. :rotfl:

I was hoping for a little better response but I am feeling okay with those numbers. Now I just want the follies to grow, grow, grow over the next few days.

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!!!!

I also took clomid on days 5-9 (a year ago) and it worked, so good luck to you! I also got a progesterone test after ovulation and it was 60, so the clomid DEFINATELY worked for me.

How's everyone doing today?

Hi Ladies,
I have been a long time lurker who has been having problems with AF and well this past month I have gone to so many doctors and they finally diagnosed me with PCOS. Well today I go to the gyno and she told me that she wanted to do an endometrial biopsy. But after that she said she was going to give me a choice to either start BC pills or start on infertility pills to help me get pregnant I think she said clomid not sure though. Well DH and I have been married 4 years now and I have had some thoughts about wanting a baby lately and I told him what the Dr. said and he said lets start with the infertility meds! It made me so happy! So pretty soon I will be TTC! I cant start until my biopsy which is in a little over a week. I was just wondering if anyone has had the endo. biopsy before? Did it hurt really bad? Anyways wishing all you ladies some extra pixie dust!

Welcome nicolita3. Hopefully somebody has experience with the biopsy. I'm pretty sure it's about AF time. I'll probably be doing the baseline on Friday morning, if everything progresses as expected. Just crossing my fingers that the cysts are gone!

Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing well. :)

Welcome Nicolita. I don't have any info on the biopsy although I think I've had just about every other test done. I'm sure someone will have some pointers for you.

Aurora, good luck tomorrow!

Now I am in the 2ww which I just can't stand. No way around it, only time will tell!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to all the new people. We go for our 3rd IUI Saturday. My dh has training that day but is going to miss part of it for the procedure. He is in charge of the training so this is a really big deal. I told him that I would do my part alone but he said if I did get pregnant and he wasn't there for it that he would feel bad.

Here is hoping that 2009 is the year of many babies for all of us!

Welcome nicolita3!!! Hope your stay is short.

No experience w/ biopsy, but it doesn't sound like a day at Disney - if you know what I mean. I am sure they'll give you something to numb the area. However, I'd take some Alieve before you go just to make sure.

pixiedust: to all!

TAKitty-good that he's going.

I went in for my baseline this morning. SO stressful! I called yesterday around 2 and left a message saying I needed an appt. I told them to just let me know what time (they only do them early in the morning). Well, I got a call, couldn't answer because I was with my boss, and they didn't leave a message. They didn't try my work line. So...didn't know what that meant (I did leave them permission to leave a message). I called back, got voicemail again, and then by the time I tried back, it was going straight to voicemail. Not ringing to it. So...I left a message saying I was going to come in and to call me if that was a problem in the morning.

This morning, it was CRAZY in there! Not just with people, but they had one of their receptionists not show up on time, they ran out of receipt paper, ran out of computer paper, etc. Nuts! They signed me in as DH, and said I was a walk-in, so my dr. came back all freaked out that I was in pain and had something wrong with me. Um....I called for the first time yesterday pretty early and said why I needed to come in. It's not like this is a business where you schedule appointments far in advance. As soon as I was sure I had full flow, I called.

Anyway, I got my ultrasound, and the cysts were gone. I start Femara tomorrow and the other stuff later. I go in again a week from tomorrow for the midpoint. (at day 10, I think)

Crazy day!

Good luck!

My IUI was actually pretty good this time! The past two times they had to pull down my cervix but this time, with a full bladder, they were able to work it in the more comfortable way. :)

It seems my uterus is at a 90 degree angle from where they need to enter. It was so nice not to have to cough and have them tug everything straight.

I am hopeful this month :flower3: . Dh's numbers are still really low but it only takes one, right.

Ah, the wait begins.

I'm practically hysterical, and I know I'm completely irrational. I'm pretty sure I'm out for the month. I needed to start Femara tonight. I just found out yesterday, and DH is sick, so I didn't manage to go get my prescription. It needs to be transferred. I went this morning (my prescription is with a Walgreen's specialty pharmacy) thinking it would be in the Walgreen's computer system. It wasn't, so they said to come back with info about the pharmacy it was with. By the time I made it back, it was after 6. They had to leave a message with the specialty pharmacy, who said they couldn't access the info after hours, and they are closed tomorrow (not what my paperwork from them says). So the walgreens lady said she could give me enough to get me through if I had an empty bottle (even though I have all the documentation from the doctor and the specialty pharmacy). It's been 2 months-no more bottle! My doctor's office failed to turn on their after-hours message, so now I don't know what to do. The earliest I can get my meds will probably be Monday, which will mean I've missed 2 days worth. I'm past hysterical, let me correct my initial statement. I don't know what to do.

Hi Aurora. I'm sorry for all the difficulty you are having getting your prescription filled today.

Your reaction is completely understandable. The whole thing is infuriating. I would tell you to try to stay calm but I know I wouldn't be able to. :furious:

I'm sending good thoughts your way that Walgreens and your doctors office comes through tomorrow! :goodvibes

Oh Courtney! I'm so sorry! I can only imagine how frustrating that must be!! What a mess!

TAKitty...I'm not sure if I've asked this question before, so forgive me if I have! LOL! Do they do anything to your DH's sperm before the IUI? My DH also has low count and abnormal shape. I've heard they wash sperm for IUI to try to get the good ones.

Well, girls, this is the week!! DH goes for his appointment on the 22nd! :cool1: It actually snuck up on me. I haven't gotten his test results from my doctor's office yet! I need to do that on Tuesday. I'm so excited that the appt is here, but also scared of what we might be told re having #2. I do think, though, that I'm ready to know either way.

DS has been talking a lot lately about how all of his classmates have brothers or sisters, and he's been talking about "when" he gets a brother or sister what we'll have to do, etc. Whenever he brings it up, I always ask him what if it's just him, if that would be okay, etc. LIke I don't have enough people bothering me...now my 5 year old it in on it too! ugh!:rolleyes2 LOL!

I'm practically hysterical, and I know I'm completely irrational. I'm pretty sure I'm out for the month.

I know what it is like to experience set backs. I had to miss two IUIs and to have my HSG done took three months because of holidays and how things fell in my cycle.

Try to stay postive.

We actually go to the clinic to "produce" the sample because they put this pink stuff in the collection container. The pink stuff is supposed to help the anti-sperm antibodies that he has so that they are not so anti.

They have to wash all the sperm before an IUI regardless of the condition because your body will have a bad reaction from some of the stuff in the sperm if they don't.

Expect the count to go down about half after the wash. The wash does remove the dead and debris. So what is left is the "better" stuff.

Dh was on clomid to help his number but it doesn't seem to have helped. He is supposed to go and have the dose raised but he is so busy that I am not sure when that is going to happen.

TAKitty, I do now remember you mentioned your DH on clomid now that you say it. Lately DH has been saying that he's pretty willing to try a lot, but gets more hesitant with anything that my increase the odds of multiples a whole lot. Of course, multiples run in our family...DH's grandma was a twin and my cousin has 2 year old twin girls.

Target said what I had WAS a prescription, and filled it this morning. I'm one dose in now. I was in bad shape last night. The target pharmacist was very sweet about it.

Allison, I can't wait to hear the results of that appointment. Answers are good, aren't they?

I'm so glad things worked out for you! :)

Courtney, I'm glad it all worked out! It's such a shame that TTC has become so "scheduled" for us all. :sad2:

And, yes, I am looking forward to answers...good OR bad,I just need answers!
