Courtney, I'd love to see the pictures!! It's all so fascinating! I still look at the pictures of the inside of my uterus/tubes in awe! LOL!

Tomorrow I should find out if my Dr wants me to come in for a progesterone test like the on-call Dr suggested on Saturday. My Dr isn't in on Mondays, so I have to wait to find out tomorrow. The office said they normally do them between 7-10dpiui, so I"m good for a while.

Today's blog on the 999 Reasons to Laugh at Infertility is about seeing your baby in a test tube. It's very funny, especially since I was sitting around the hospital holding DH's sperm for an hour waiting for my IUI time! LOL! I haven't made DH come to any of the IUI's with me...mostly because they've happened over the weekend and we wouldn't have anyone to watch DS. I don't want DS in there! The nurses are always amazed that I'm getting pregnant alone.

 to all of you who are dealing with infertility. It took us 7 cycles to conceive DD2 and I was starting to go batty! I remember getting really frustrated, especially when my BFF gets pg twice on the first try. Some people don't realize how lucky that is! But we all have something special about us that we take for granted. Maybe we should remember we have it easy in some areas, and also be grateful for those.

I am 8dpo and started feeling those tingling sensations in my lower belly yesterday. That happened when I was pg with DD so I would love for that to mean I'm implanting. I guess I'll test on Saturday. But I could be reading too much into it all. I tend to overanalyze everything. I guess that's why I loved writing trip reports. :rotfl:

Allison - so true! I remember when I was TTC my younger son and my BFF got pregnant literally the week they decided to TTC. I was so upset. But then, I sat back and thought. My BFF has 3 girls. Her oldest had been struggling with brain cancer for 8 years at that point. I would gladly take a hard time TTC over watching my child suffer. Her daughter died just 1 year later. So, she may be able to get pregnant a lot easier than me, but that doesn't mean her life is any easier.

I keep popping in here to cheer you guys on silently! I am so excited to see what the next few weeks bring for Aurora and Skuttle! My fingers are crossed and you are both in my prayers!

As are the rest of you!

Congrats Kiki - I completely understand taking this day by day and not putting too much thought into it. ((((hugs)))

My (other) BFF is TTC right now - going on 19 months. Her DH has MFI. Super low counts but morph and motility are good. However, she FINALLY was tested last month and her progesterone is super low (5.6 on 7dpo) and her FSH and LH are inverse. FSH was 5.0 and LH weas 7.9 (these were done on CD3). Dr said they can indicate issues. Anyone know anything about what she is facing here?

:lmao: Whatever it takes girl. Whatever it takes. :lmao:

I was lucky that my DH was able to come to all my IUIs. He said he was going to be there when I got pregnant. One way or another.

Aurora - Would love to see pics of the babies. :lovestruc Feel free to post or direct us to your blog or whatever.

Minnesota!-A low FSH can indicate poor egg reserves. She may want to ask for an AMH (Anti-mullerian hormone) test. This one is supposed to be more indicative of egg reserves and doesn't fluctuate throughout the month. FSH has to be measured on day 3, but AMH doesn't. Now, I'm a bad indicator for this one, because I did have one that had a weird number, but was retested and fine. Errors can be made on anything, though. There's a lot they can do for the progesterone, from pills, to injections, to suppositories.

Ok, I wasn't sure if anybody would want to see these, so I'm glad you guys are letting me share. Here they are:

scan.jpg

On top are both, the 8 cell on the left, 5 cell on the right. If you look carefully, they each have a notch on the upper left. That's where assisted hatching was done. The center is the 8 cell, bottom is the 5 cell.

can someone please tell me what implant spotting looks like.

my dr told me that no i wasn't pg and didn't have an mc and the metform i'm on now is totally rebooting my hormones which means that i could get pg soon maybe.

so i has 12 days of that heavy bleeding followed by 3 or 4 days off then a little spotting.

nothing really -

tmi

similiar sticky stuff when i think i'm about to ovulate with a little red blood.

i had heard that implant spotting is brownish red - can it be red?

is it possible that one (me) could get pg after all that sheading and bleeding?

Pics aren't showing up? :confused3

Hmm. Let me know if they still aren't...I redid the link, but if I have to, I'll host them somewhere else.

Ok, well, for some reason that works for a minute, then doesn't. I'm moving the pic.

I also had some good news today. I got sick of waiting for the embryologist to let me know if I had any to freeze, so I called. Apparently they mail something, but I haven't gotten it yet. 2 of our embryos made it to blast phase and were frozen! That's either hope if this doesn't work, or potential siblings if it does!

I see them! I see them!! How cool!!! Your first baby pics! ;) Most people have the ultrasound as the first picture...you over achiever! ;) ;) Congrats on the two frozen ones as well! Great news. :goodvibes

I need an opinion from y'all. For my mom's birthday, we told her we would paint her living room. She lives in a small, old house and has wood paneling throughout. Her birthday was in April and we still haven't done it yet! She lives 1.5 hours away, and we've been busy, I guess. DS starts soccer next weekend, so DH suggested we paint this weekend. I know when you are pregnant you should not paint. I'll be 7dpiui on Saturday. Do you think I could paint, or should I keep away just in case? I'm not sure what to do. After 3 years, I've given up on pretty much everything I used to do or not do "just in case" I was pregnant.

I think you would be fine painting, just make sure the area is well ventilated and you stop if you get too tired. If I am not mistaken at that point the baby would still be living off of the gestational sac and not from the placenta, so I think it would be okay. Stay away from primer though, that's more potent and strong. I think most water based paints are okay nowadays.

Let your DH prime, and after the area clears out then you could help paint. I helped paint my son's nursery when I was 30 weeks, I just stayed away when they were priming it.

Use your own judgement though, if you don't feel comfortable then don't do it.

Aurora- they're beautiful and YAY for having two frozen. That's awesome.

I agree with True Eeyore that you should be ok as long as the area is well ventilated. I did some painting during my first trimester and had no problems.

Aurora - nice first baby pics!

Skuttle - Painting should be fine. Paint is not as strong today as it used to be. Heck, my friend painted her whole house while pregnant (much further along than you) and not only had a healthy pregnancy/baby but went on to have 2 more. Just as others have said, be safe while doing it and everything will be fine.

Aurora - Pictures are great. So exciting. I'm not going to ask if you feel Pg yet although I secretly wonder. :rolleyes1 Hope all is going well.

It is so exciting and yet sad to think that we may have 2 (or 3) graduates of this thread soon. All pg at the same time. How cool. I so wish I could join ya but have a feeling I see AF on the way. :headache:

Thanks yall! I started making plans with my mom and she is so excited. I figure even if the iui works, implantation may not even have occurred by saturday. Plus, normal people never know they are pregnant that early!

D&D I doubt I'll be graduating soon, but I do have a good, bfp sticky baby feeling about Courtney!!!

Well, the nurse called this morning with the results of my progesterone test on Tuesday and they are starting me on prometrium. I"m not sure what form yet.

I'm not at 6dpiui...do you think starting the meds now will do me any good? Is it too late to help?

I'm feeling a bit down about all of this. I had no idea I had so many things stacked against me. I'm glad to find out about it all, that way I know why TTC is taking so long, but it's still a downer.

DS apparently was much more of a miracle that we ever realized!

Skuttle - Do you know what your Progestrone number was on Tuesday? I think you are in plenty of time to start it and still be successful. I didn't start mine until 4w2d and it was fine. I still think I am low but the doctor won't give me more and retest me but I have been spotting for over a week now again.

Allison, I think it can still be fine. Whatever form, it's not that bad to deal with taking. I will say though that if it doesn't work this time, it's time for an RE. Someone who will monitor you more closely than your doctor is now. Also, an RE basically always prescribes some sort of progesterone. I was on suppositories with all my injectable cycles with timed..., and with my IUI. If nothing else, it makes you feel better.

That sheet from the embryologist arrived today. I'm glad I called. I got a lot more out of that than I did this boring piece of paper that gives almost no info.

I picked up my prescription and it's in a pill form. I've read that the pill often gives more side effects, so I guess I'll see.

Courtney: I have one more IUI with my Dr. before I get referred to an RE. I'm not sure how much of an RE's expenses would be covered by my insurance , so I'm hoping things work with my Dr! I do feel like my Dr now is monitoring me a good bit. She's told me that if after 3 clomid/iui cycles, if it doesn't work she'll send me to an RE because then the different meds and doses will be too much for her knowledge. I do trust her. I'm hoping all of this works!! RIght now my insurance covers my ultrasounds, but not the sperm wash, IUI fee, or trigger meds. It did cover my new meds..I only had to pay $20 instead of $100!!

DMickey: I don't even know what my number was!! She called me at 7:45am this morning as I was walking out of the door. She told me my Dr wanted to start me on the meds, asked for my pharmacy, said to keep taking it until I get a BFP or AF, and that my Dr said everything else is looking good so far. If she said the number, I missed it! And I didn't even think to ask until after I was off of the phone!! I'll probably call on Tuesday to find out the number because I do want to know. I do hope your pregnancy continues to go well. :goodvibes
