Yes, Mrs. Charming, this is exciting!!

Kronk's girl, everyone is different. This pregnancy is way different than my first. For that one, I did have symptoms, but I could have easily thought that it was PMS. This time I already have food aversions and nausea at 6w. My energy level is -46. :rotfl: I guess it depends, but at some point you will feel pregnant. And then you'll wish you didn't feel them quite as much. :lmao:

So, I have a question for you guys. I had my first appt last week at 6 weeks. They decided not to do an ultrasound because he said there may not be much to see and he wanted to wait a week. So I have an appt on Wednesday morning and I should be 6w6d. He did draw blood to check my HCG levels and said that if it was at least 1,000 they would continue with the ultrasound.

So today the nurse calls and says that it came back at 49,000. I thought that sounded really high, especially when all they want is 1,000. Is 49,000 really high or is that typical for 6w?

Thanks!

Okay, well you just sold me, now I have to at least try fertilaid. I heard it takes a few months to "take effect" - but I think this was your first month taking it right? (Like you said it might have been something else that helped...but I still have to try now).

Just curious for those who have gotten pregnant recently- did you actually feel pregnant before you tested? I remember vettechick saying she felt pregnant. I just wonder if I ever do get pregnant if I will "feel" pregnant at the beginning.

It's worth a shot, right? The one main active ingredient in it (Vitex/Chasteberry) is what got me pregnant with DD. I had tried Vitex again last year, but it didnt work, but then again with all the physical crap going on in my uterus, pregnancy was probably impossible anyway.

Right now... I don't really "feel" pregnant-- or maybe a teeny tiny bit. I often have little moments that make me go hmm but I'm not really nauseous or anything. I'm tired, but that could be because I'm sick with the lovely little cold DD gave me. My sense of smell is a little better though, that's the one thing that drove me bonkers with DD.. omg.. I could smell anything from a mile away, it was hell. However, I was talking to my BFF today, and she said that when she was pg with her DS8, she didnt know that she was pregnant (didn't feel pregnant) until 9 weeks! SO it's really a crap shoot apparently.

Oh! But I do have good news-- the nurse from the R.E. called back, I go in tomorrow for the beta and progesterone draws. Cross your fingers for me, please...

I'm just a little worried because when I had my m/c, I did not feel pregnant at all. WHen I was pg with DD, omg, I was super nauseous by 12dpo. My stomach is all bloated though-- I look like I ate 3 pounds of potatoes.

OMG! 49,000! That's one sticky baby!! That explains your food aversions and tiredness! I just looked it up and 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml, so it's not unheard of. I know this is weird, but I'd prefer to have the u/s a little later, you have a better chance of seeing a heartbeat. :cloud9:

vettechick - I found this online on HCG http://www.americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html

It looks like 49,000 is at the high range of "normal" for 6 weeks....it also includes possible causes for a high level below the ranges. Maybe you're having twins :upsidedow

Mrs. Charming - good luck at the appointment tomorrow! I have only been pg once, and I felt it pretty early, but like vettechick said, many of the symptoms felt the same as PMS, so I didn't know for sure until I tested.

Or molar pregnancy. Eeeek!

I had never heard of that before - I hope that's not the case! :scared1: It sounds pretty rare.

Sometimes I wish the doctors would just tell us everything is fine instead of giving us details we can google and worry about!

Try not to let how pregnant or how not pregnant you feel concern you too much. When I had my miscarriage I had nausea starting almost immediately and was still fighting it when I found out that I had had a missed miscarriage. With DD I didn't have nausea or really any other symptoms to speak of. This is so exciting....you have given me a big dose of much needed hope today!

Mrs. Charming Congrats. Baby sticking dust for you:wizard:

Well I officially went this month without visiting any sort of MD I have not been poked internally examined or hopped up on any meds and you know what I feel more relaxed dont get me wrong I have those Oh my goodness I should be.... but for the most part I don't think I could have gotten everything done this month if I was in and out of the city so much.

Baby dust to all of you. Hope your holidays were amazing.

Just a real quick question - for those of you who have ovulation pain what does it feel like? And where do you feel it? I think I may have experienced it last cycle and may be having it now ....or it could be all the junk I ate over the weekend.

For me it's usually on my lower left side and it is anywhere from a dull ache to a stabbing pain. Sometimes I get it on my right side too. Also I get a pain running down my thighs. HTH?

Yep I think it's ovulation pain.....lower middle and left side and just a dull miserable ache. I think I'm feeling it now because of the clomid. I can live with it if it works in the end.

That's what mine feels like. It lasts for several days, but my OB said I was likely ovulating on the first day of the pain. :confused3

Yeah, I get that too. I get a day or two of feeling like my ovaries are little overstuffed balloons, and then finally I get a "pop" or a sharp pain feeling, and then it's all over. :thumbsup2 On that note, YAY for ovulating!! C'mon eggie!!

Thanks for the sticky dust :)

That's a nice feeling not being poked, prodded and examined. :) Sometimes we just need a little break... especially this time of year. Baby dust to you too!! :wizard:

UGH! My temp jumped this morning so I'm confident my pain yesterday was ovulation pain. But dang it I never got a positive OPK!! I have yet to EVER get a positive OPK! At least we have a chance - our timing was actually pretty good, but our volume wasn't :rotfl: We do a bootcamp workout program at work that we have to get up at 4:15am to make it to at 5:30am for and it took a bit to get DD to bed last night so we were too tired to get our groove on ;) (Had I gotten a positive OPK we probably would have anyway) but we did the night before at least. Oh well growing up "they" always said it just takes once :rotfl: maybe "they" at least knew what they were talking about on that one!! And now the waiting begins......

LOL I can't imagine having to get up to "groove" then workout! OMG I'd be falling over by 11am. Hey, if it's anything, we didn't do anything on ovulation day either... we were too tired! :lmao: You never really know, it might just take that one try! Good luck, and lots of patience! :goodvibes

I puked this morning!! YAY morning sickness! WOOHOO!! I was starting to worry that I didn't really have many pg symptoms.. and then next thing you know I was praying to the porcelain goddess.

Cross your fingers for me today.. going for my beta at 1pm :wizard:

Mrs. Charming that is awesome!

Well, I have been reading everyones posts but I haven't checked back in since my results appointment with my RE. I would have to say that I was despondent. I was basically told that everything looks good - all hormone levels and sperm tests and of the course the dreaded HSG was good too. The Dr. told me that he thinks the reason I haven't been able to get pregnant is because I am old and fat (my words not his). So I seriously sulked for a few days feeling like I was horrible. Ya know, we weren't having any luck so I got depressed which made me eat more and do less which made me feel worse and I ate more. Man I really wish that I lost my appitite when I got depressed. :lmao:

So, we have decided to wait a couple of months and try to lose some weight because i can't get any younger. Plus we have a big trip planned for late October (we are taking my Dsis and DNiece) and we are staying at BLT.

Thanks for letting me write that all down - and spill my guts. I'm sending Baby Dust to everyone for 2010! :wizard:
