Well, we're back in the game. After almost two years exactly from selling our beloved friend, the Puma (see pic in signature), we just put our deposit on a new 2010 Palomino Sabre 31QBDS travel trailer.

It is exactly like I wanted if I had ordered it, but it was already built and waiting to be shipped from the factory. Trail Air Equa-Flex suspension for me and the coffee colored interior for Andrea. I'm so ready to get back to any campground.

They're moving her to the shipping yard tomorrow and she should be on her way to NC by the end of the week. Pics will follow soon. I "think" I will do well this tax season. Being self-employed, you just never know until the final numbers are crunched. If so, we'll be reserving the Fort for January, 2011 for sure. Three years without the Fort is just far too long.

:thumbsup2

Congrats on the new rig. Hope to see you there, just made ressies for last week of Jan and first week of Feb. 2011:banana::cool1:

Nice trailer. Once you tow it let me know your mpg it is very close to ours in size and weight. I am trying to figure out if my bad mpg comes from my truck or my trailer.

I'm sure the 6.4 will stink as bad as my 6.0 did when pulling the TT. But a LOT of that is my fault. My house is two miles from I-40. Once we get on I-40, it's interstate traveling all the way to exit 67, I-4. Yes, we typically ran 70-75 mph pulling the Puma with the 6.0 so we always got right around 8mpg.

Awesome floorplan! I like how it is a bunkhouse, but there is a real bedroom in back for mom and dad, with actual storage. :thumbsup2

Congratulations!

Very nice, great floor plan,:thumbsup2
I can only imagine everyones excitement,

We were committed to getting more master bedroom "room" this time. Getting dressed in the Puma bedroom was oftentimes comical. Not any more.

Several manufacturers offer this similar floorplan now. We just favored the Sabre since Palomino makes it. They also made our Puma and we were definitely pleased with it the entire four years we had it.
