Is it just me...or is anyone else over tron? The pins aren't great and they are expensive! The furniture hasnt thrilled me either. The only thing I have liked so far is the room and that is only because of the music in it.

I'm over it too. As much as I hate forking over the credits, I'm buying what is released anyway in hopes of trading it later on. I'm sooo not into Tron though and desperate for something a bit more girly for a change.

I hate it, If you read my post back a few months ago when it was first mentioned, I said I would rather not have it.

I have bought about 4 of the tron things to trade later, but normally I would buy about 10-15 of anything new in the shops just to keep for my self.

Tron month has amounted to nothing more than a big waste of credits to me. From the moment I saw the first picture way back when of Yavn showing off the outfit, I didn't like it. For one, I just don't think it looks good. Second, I don't understand why Yavn and co. feel the need to promote a movie like Tron, while absolutely no attention hardly is paid to the Disney classics. Example: The Little Mermaid Platinum Edition DVD comes out October 3rd. Why couldn't you have a month promoting that? Or an Aladdin month, or Beauty & the Beast, or Mulan? There's just so many opportunities to advertise the greatest animated movies of all time in VMK, but it's like the chances are passed by in favor of stuff like Tron or last month, which brought about nothing aside from the quest pins and food pins. This month, I like the Host pin and the first pin sold. The rest I could care less about, and the only part of it I do care about is the fact that having to buy all this stuff before Halloween hurt my savings for Halloween. Heh, maybe that was the point (so people couldn't buy as many extras for trading).

I just wish VMK would actually incorporate more characters and popular movies into the mix. I'm not a complainer typically, but it does bother me that classic Disney gets ignored in favor of random movies like Tron or Air Bud 3 back in May. Sure, Tron may have been one of the better ones in many's mind, but how many people were inspired by this month to rush out and rent Tron (if it's even still available; in my area, no one carries it)? Just seems like bad marketing and poor use of resources, to me.

I never seen the movie, never bought any Tron items. (Besides to trade the Suit) So I have NO idea what Tron is.

I just rented Tron from Netflix and I liked it. It gave me a better appreciation for the stuff that just came out. One of the great things about the movie is that it shows how far computer technology has come since the 80s.

I'm also tired of Tron month and I wish they did a promotion for The Little Mermaid since that is one of my favorite movies.

I haven't seen Tron but Tron month convinced me to buy the DVD.

I love the room, the costume, the poster, the first two pins released, the host pin and the prizes from the arcade games. I think the tanks and lightcycles look really strange but I bought them. This week's pin is only so so. I hope they release the pink costume and the teleporters!

I haven't listened to the music in the room, I like the room and the other items because of the colors. I like primary colors so the red and blue room has become my favorite to look at.

I hate to say it, but Tron month has turned out to be one of the better themes for me.

I like the costume ok. The main things I really like are the room (which I have) and the video games you can win from the arcade games (which I'll never win). I'd love to get those, but I probably never will. Oh well.

Don't like the pins and poster. Other furniture is ok.

I have not decided for sure how I like it, I would really like the teleporters and the video game consoles and tables (flash back to while I was younger) The room is pretty cool and I am hoping it is sold. I have cut back on pins I buy because I have to many but I like the design of 3 so far. I think the other furniture is ok but not my favorite, I am trying to decide if I might want more since I rarely trade. The poster is nothing to get excited about since I think most people just aren't into the posters.

Now what we need is more huanted mansion furniture like you see laying around while playing the game.


- Interesting thoughts Andy, I have not seen the movie, It did make me interested to see it but I lack time right now, so I did not go buy it but might if it stays in my head. VMK will be a daily reminder. I would point out that VMK (yvan) did say basicly why they chose it. They are all big fans, the initial feed back on the outfit preview was possitive, and the consider it to be a foundation movie both for their efforts in vmk and many movies that followed based on story line and technics used. I think they might be interested to see if it drives interest and can they use vmk as a tool to have interest in like a tron II or somthing. (please I beg no Cheata girls stuff) It would be interesting to know what there thoughts on using it as a marketing tool are.

So what happens to all the Tron stuff after Tron month? Here we are with only one more week of September.

Do the Tomorrowland arcade games go back to the space suit and diving suit? This would certainly make the Tron prizes rare, although as others have noted, maybe not desirable. There's a lot of speculation about what will and won't come back from time to time. (Bat Magic anyone?) I daresay that I can't see Tron ever coming back, at least not in the big way it has been presented this month.

You have to wonder if Disney is watching Tron (the movie) sales and rentals to see how much marketing Tron on VMK is driving the market. I doubt I would have given it any thought without VMK.
