We typically travel in January to WDW every year. We were looking for a change this time. Keep in mind summer is out of the question because of a medical condition with the regards to the heat.:crazy2: What is your favorite week to go. IE We used to go the third week in January...nothing special going on, we just liked the lower crowds and cooler temps. Your week doesn't have to include an extravaganza like MNSSHP or SWW. princess:

THank you hoping to change it up a little :):):)

I'd say the best time would be between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The crowds are the smallest of any time in the year because so few people take vacations then. And there is nothing more magical than seeing Disney lit up for Christmas. Even Scrooge himself would have his heart warmed at the scene.

The bright spot for you is also that the weather is still going to be pretty similar to what you've experienced in January.

I have been the first part of December a few times and I love that time of year. And yes, it does include an extravaganza. In fact, a few of them. I love the Christmas decorations, cool weather and low-ish crowds. I will be back at that time again!

But I think I found a new time I want to try, the week after Thanksgiving. My sister is going that time this year, and I helped her make her ADR's only about 90 days out, and we found everything. Le Cellier, any day or time she wanted, CRT on a few day, really, EVERYTHING. I have never seen so many ADR's 90 days out. And yes, it is during free dining too.

I am going Sep 30 - Oct 9. I wanted to try Halloween time once. And I struggled to find the ADR's I wanted. I also booked mine only about 90 days out. There still are some places I couldn't find (I look several times a day), or had to take a time I wasn't crazy about.

If ADR's are any indication of crowd levels (and I don't have any knowledge about this theory, just mine) I think her week looks great.

I agree, the week after Thanksgiving is great. That's when we've always gone, but now we have to find another time due to the kids' school. I'm looking at spring break next year and am very sad we can't do our usual week after Thanksgiving. It's the best way to get into the holiday spirit.:cool1:

Usually go between Sept. and early Dec. Last year took an extra trip first week of
March. Really liked it. Beautiful weather, EPCOT was decorated for Flower and Garden and free dining was still offered. It was a little more crowded but still manageable.

We went the last week of April first week of May one year and it was great. Nice weather and low crowds.

We've gone at many different times of the year. Last year we went the end of September and it was fabulous. No crowds, parks open to fairly late, cooler temps but still able to swim. It's now my favorite time to go.

We have gone the first week in December several times and love it. Crowds are low, decorations are beautiful, hotels are decked out, characters dressed up... Temps have varied from hot to cold and if I say cold, it's cold (I'll wear shorts in 40 degree weather).

I loved going the end of January. It was the best for low crowds! :thumbsup2

We also like mid-Oct for F&W and MNSSHP. We are big foodies so this is a favorite. Crowds aren't as great as Jan but if you plan smart, they're not bad at all.

This year we're trying the first two weeks in Dec. Very excited! :goodvibes

october is my favorite time to go then comes nov/dec. I have been in March and May...May was far too hot for me. March was nice with the F&G festival.

We're trying early February next year...the weather should be nice anyway.

We've been going in December for the past couple of years. Before that mid-October. Love both. The decorations for both are great!

We love the week after Thanksgiving! It has been our lowest crowd time we have experienced. We were going to go that week this year, but decided that we wanted to try out the MNSSHP so we opted for October instead. My vote for the OP would be the week after Thanksgiving:thumbsup2

October. We love the fall decorations, and the heat isn't too bad. :flower3:

I am not a fan of the heat. I hibernate inside the air conditioning all summer.

My favorite time to go is between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Nothing gets me into the holiday mood like a trip to WDW. I love all the decorations, the shows, the music, everything.
