I was at Wal-mart and I like to pick up things for my car trip for my 3yr old. I found this tin and it has magnets in it and sheets that you stick them to with scenes on them. Each tin is different. I got the zoo one. They also had princess, construction, circus and s few others. It was about $6 and I found it near the play-doh and magna doodle stuff. I can see her playing with it for a long time. It was also very compact and flat so it will fit in the backpack no problem. :thumbsup2

I bought the Cars tray with magnets-from the Disney store. so I am going to go check out walmart to add to the magnet collection. My guy is 3 also! Thanks for the heads up

Speaking of Cars, I was a Target today and in the book section they had a wide variety of Cars books, including a magnet book. Some really cute stuff. Just thought some of you might want to check it out for your little ones!

I have them in the Disney duffle bag ready for our plane trip in Sept. I have a 2 and a 4 year old so I got two of them. There are so many magnets that even if we lose a few on the plane - no big deal. Also - we've had magnet books for years but I find them difficult to bring on the plane because all of ours are bigger-sized books and awkward for the carry-on. These are great because they're so compact.

Thanks, I will have to look for them. Where did the Cars one come from??
I found a Cars one at the Disney store. It is a metal tv tray style. My 2 older kids had those type of trays on last years trip and it made things like snacks, coloring ect. easier. So I thought my 3 year old is old enough to get one this year. It was around $14

I bought 2 of these last May just before driving (5+ hrs. ) to Vegas. They kept my DD (then 5) entertained for quite awhile. I have one suggetion, don't separate the magnets beforehand, she really liked doing it herself and it took about an hour to do both sets. Since then I've bought one more set. She now has the horses, farm animals, and dress up (dogs and cats). She still enjoys playing with them. I was a little concerned since they were metal that there would be a problem going through airport security but we've done it several times and it hasn't been an issue. :goodvibes

OT-Yeah-I finall can post again! I couldn't doing anything all day yesterday. :cool1:
