So, after reading all the posts, doing lots of research and giving in to spending $50 plus dollars on a camera strap I've finally ordered a Black Rapid RS-7. I'll be using it for the first time on our Disney Wonder Cruise in a couple of weeks. I ordered it from Outdoor Photo Gear in Kentucky. They had a good price and the shipping was free.
I'll also be trying out my new Nikkor 35mm 1.8 lens.
This will be our sixth Wonder Cruise and I'd like to concentrate on getting some really good late night shots. I haven't seen many Disney cruise pics on the board so, hopefully, I'll be posting some good ones once I get back from our trip.

Have a great Easter everyone.

Congrats on the purchase!!!! Those Disney cruises are quite addictive. I've been on 2 on the Magic, and I'm totally hooked. I even bought my first dslr in between the span of those 2; so needless to say, my new friend got quite the workout.

And there are some pretty nice pictures on the Disney Cruise Line boards... I'll just leave it at that. :thumbsup2

Question on this Rapid Strap thing - how do you use it with a flash? I like the concept, but that is my big hang up. I do use my external flash a lot and I'm not sure I want it hanging upside down.

I have a black rapid strap and had my 580 on my 50D with no problems.Of course you have to be careful with this setup.
