Hi Folks! Wii is our first ever game system, which we recently purchased along with Rock Band II (drums, mic and guitar).

My DD6.5 is loving the drums and has recently started singing. Now I'm really not an old Fuddy Duddy but hearing her sing Eye of the Tiger, and My Own Worst Enemy, is a little....well, somewhat hard on my ears (she sings well, but it's the lyrics that sometimes make me cringe).

Is there anything out there with Disney songs (for the Wii)? Or maybe just something a little more suitable for kids in her age group? I was singing Puff the Magic Dragon, and songs by the Carpenters when I was her age.

I hope not. You want her to know what good music is or play something simple with 2 notes? I love when my 3 year old little girl sings "Penny Lane" (her name is Penny BTW)

Lego Rock Band is coming out sometime before too long, and I think it is intended to have songs with more "family-friendly" lyrics. There isn't a Disney version of Rock Band. The Beatles Rock Band game also comes out soon too and I think most of their lyrics are family friendly. I don't know much about the other singing games like SingStar - it's possible that there's a more family friendly one out there that only has vocals, but there isn't anything that uses the other instruments as well.

mbanks21 - I don't think appropriate lyics and good music have to be mutually exclusive. There are some very questionable lyrics on Rock Band and Rock Band 2. It's a great game, but I can understand wanting something a little more family friendly if you're playing with small kids.

Ooooh! The Beatles Rock Band sounds great! And the Lego one could certainly work for us.

I wonder how long it will be before Disney puts one out. I just love the songs from Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.

FoxySilver,...thanks for the great suggestion. Sounds like what we're looking for (except it would be nice to have the drums and guitar...oh well).

I'm definitely going to look into this. Thanks!
