New to WDW***HELP***

My family and I are planning a trip to WDW on Nov 20,2005. We are 4 adults and 3 kids. I have found so much info my head is spinning. Do I need a suite or is 2 rooms good enough? My kids are 8,9,12. I am trying to decide between Caribbean, Coronado and a suite. I am so confused about all of it. I just want to book a memorable vacation for my kids, and their grandparents. We are planning on spending 3 nites and 4 days and going to each of the 4 parks for a day. Usually when we go on vacation, the hotel is only a place to rest your head at the end of a tiring day, at Disney that seems to not be the case. The kids are all so excited and I have seem and read hundreds of threads about the pros and cons of all of it. I am not even sure where to purchase my rooms from: Expedia, this site or where? If some of you could help me, sort of guide me along this process please take the time to do so. Thanks in advance!

Take my advise and contact Dreams Unlimited Travel. They will sort out all the details and give you all the info you need in the short time you have to put this thing together. You will have a more enjoyable vacation if you do. If you had longer I would have suggested doing all yourself with some study and help from everyone here. I think if you contact Dreams Unlimited you will rest easier and it costs you nothing. You will still need to study a littel and you will participate in the planning. The questions are just put to rest easier with help.

Seven people certainly can fit into two standard rooms, but I think the first thing to decide is if 0, 1 or 2 children will be in the room with the grandparents. For you to fit 5 into one room standard room I can only suggest POR as they have a trundle in addition to the two double beds. You can ask for two connecting rooms. If you will be splitting up the kids you can get away with just about any of the double bed rooms on site and your resort choices are limited only to availability.

Sometimes it's nice to have a travel agent to help walk you through the choices. If you feel confident though you might want to go to disneyworld.com and test out the system to find availability and prices, but then call CRO to book as they seem to have better terms (don't have to pay in full as far out etc).

I think you would do better with two rooms at a moderate or value than a suite (two bathrooms, two TVs, less moolah - suites at WDW are very expensive). Do you belong to AAA? If you do, you can get 20% off at moderate or value at that time of year. If you don't it may be worth joining just to get the discount. It doesn't cost much, and there are lots of other things you get a discount on with membership, and you have roadside assistance if something happens in your car, or in any car you are riding in. If you want room only, just call central reservations (407-934-7639) to make your reservation and ask for AAA rate. You can also order your tickets at that time. If you want a package (tickets, room, dining) you have to go through a AAA travel agent. You can also book online at www.disneyworld.com (if you are not using any discounts). I wouldn't use Expedia for a Disney trip. You will have much more access to changes and help by using central reservations, AAA or the Disney website. Have a wonderful first trip!

My advice is to book connecting rooms at CBR and watch for any codes that may come out for Nov. I've used Dreams Unlimited and have found them to be good. That may be the way to go as you are only staying for 3 nights.
