We are going down spring break and bringing our new to us 5th wheel. 35 foot Dutchman Denali 320RLS. We are going to be REALLY new to manuevering this 'beast'. We are signed up for full hook up. What loop, site suggestions does anyone have that are easier to back into?

We have a 41 foot fifth wheel, and I would suggest practicing at home, in your driveway, or perhaps a fairgrounds. The sites can be a challenge, especially if backing up on your "blind side". You will get better with each and every maneuver. Sometimes it is not your backing, but an extra vehicle or cart across from where you turn sharp. Go forward, back up, turn wheels, go forward, back up, etc, over and over. Soon, this will be old hat for you. Have a great trip.

Oh we will be practicing beforehand but does anyone have loop or site suggestions?

We have stayed in the 1100 loop, the 800 loop, and this year, in site 1450. They are all about the same, although the 1100 loop might be "less crowded" with vehicles close to make backing up more difficult. Love the 800 loop, but seems more crowded. Truthfully, they are all about the same.

libba,

The Full loops (if that's the category of site you reserved) are 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900. Don't get too hung up on specific sites because you never know what site you will get until you check in.

You can get your site and drive down to it and check it out. If it looks tight and you see an open site that you would prefer instead, call the Outpost (either directly or from a Comfort Station house line - number shown next to phone) and ask to be moved. I've done that and you can do it over the phone and they will generally accommodate your request if they can.

We had a thread here recently about "tough to back into" and Fort Cast Members, if they're around will NOT park it for you. Some helpful fellow campers might or at least they will help spot you in.

It will work out.

If your are really concerned with backing and not practiced at doing it, I would go for a premium with more space.
