New to Universal

My husband and I have only been to Universal one time about 7 or 8 years ago. We were only in one park, and only there for a couple of hours with my daughter's marching band, so we really do not know anything about the parks. My son and his family are going next April with wife's family. They have never been been before, and my son is super excited! We would like to give them something for Christmas that they can use on their trip. Would you guys recommend a gift card, or is there something else that they might really enjoy that my husband and I could give them for Christmas?

( the inside soles suck, so buy some inserts for park walking)

i also never go to universal without a nice pair of sunglasses. That is another cool gift idea.

Also.. My company did a team building/ sales meeting event at universal and I cannot stress how fun a universal studios scavenger hunt actually is.

Lanyards of their favorite potential Universal area/attraction (Marvel? Harry Potter? Transformers? etc) to use in the parks to hold their tickets/express pass/whatever would make great stocking stuffers!

Personally I would love a Universal Gift Card. That way they can spend it on a restaurant or special souvenir. Maybe get a lanyard and put the gift card in it?

Lanyard selection on the online universal store is pretty "poor" if you ask me (They only seem to have Harry Potter, Kong, Dispicable Me, and Jurassic World). You may want to have a look on Amazon for various other lanyards (Marvel, Transformers etc.) if you don't see ones you like on the universal store.
