Hi all,

I am planning a trip to WDW and I am on the MagicTrips list....I am just wondering is there any place that is good to book a vacation through?? We tried a travel agent and they were not very helpful at all....Even rude I would say.

thanks Isabell

sure... I live near Ottawa though....about an hour south of Ottawa...near a place called Upper Canada Village...really nice place.

thanks Isabell

why don't you try Dream Come True Vacations ... We used them for our December trip and Kathryn was such a great help. She is their Canadian Rep... everything was done via e-mail and I talked to her a couple of times over the phone.
Highly recomened them. :cheer2:

We used Dreams Unlimited (sponsors for the DIS) for our two trips. I recommend them (and Beth our agent) highly. Everything was done via email. We drove down both time so I only booked the hotel through them. They do book flights but the consensus seems to be that you can book flights on the web keeper than most travel agencies. I've also heard good things about Small World Vacations, Mouse Fan Travel and Your Magical Journeys.

Who ever you choose I recommend that it be a Disney only travel agency. By using someone experienced with Disney they can help you with all of your vacation logistics. For us the ability to just email our dining requests and letting Beth deal with the booking was amazing compared to what people doing it themselves go through. Most non-Disney specialist travel agencies will just book the trip and not do anything else. The only except to this is CAA. Any travel agent can get you a CAA/AAA discount on a room-only booking but you have to book through CAA to get a discount on a package. If you are planning to get the dining plan you might think about that. The unfortunate thing is that most CAA agents fall into that book the package and they are done category.

Don't expect a travel agent to get a better deal than what you can get (the CAA package discount being the exception). Beyond some minor incentives that the travel agent may be providing they only have access to the same things that you do as an individual. If you go over to the resorts board you can always find someone surprised that they magically didn't get a better deal by using a travel agent.

I don't have any travel agent recommendations but I just wanted to say hi and welcome to DIS :) :wave2:

I can't speaker highly enough of Kathryn's wealth of information, positive enthusiastic attitude and great customer service!!!!!

Doing your families trip planning through someone who has "been there done that" makes life much easier.

Welcome to the Dis :wave2:

We used to live in Kemptville and dh worked in Cardinal.

I also recommend Dreams Unlimited. The service and advice they will give you is excellent. they are Disney specialists. It won't cost you anything for their services, in fact you will save money because they are on top of the best deals. If something better comes out after you book, they will get it for you.

Book your flight separate and fly through Syracuse. The savings is huge and worth the extra drive.

read the different forums here and you will become more knowledgeable about Disney than most travel agents.

good luck!
