Hi all! I'm currently on WW trying to lose now 53 lbs. I could really use some support as I can't seem to get my act together. It seems like I lose 5, slip, then put on 10. I know it can work, but I seem to have trouble actually doing it! Argh!

I do post on the WW boards, but they feel like such a broken record. I also got tired of people telling me my goal was unhealthy (goal weight is 100, BUT, I am 4'10" so that is perfectly healthy for me). I'm hoping to find some support from my fellow Disney lovers!

The hardest part for me has been scheduling. I am a grad student in a Masters of Arts in Education. I teach, take classes, and work. I have been unable to work out for a couple of months due to a knee issue for which I am having surgery in August, so that has put a damper on it. It was so much easier when I worked entertainment and was dancing in three parades and two shows a day. :(

I'm still trying to get the lay of the land so to speak when it comes to the W.I.S.H. boards. Any tips or suggestions would be great!

:welcome: to the WISH board!

there are lots of folks on WW here, there is even a thread of WW'ers, that thread and any other on the board you are most welcome to pop in and join in at anytime! this is a friendly, supportive board!

there are also monthy-goal oriented friendly challenges to check out. If exercising is your struggle right now, consider joining the July exercise challenge where you post your goal for the month in minutes and then report in to each other. You determine what your exercise will be and they could help you with suggestions during your time of injury and recovery!

if that's not it for you, lurk away! i'm sure you will find a group you feel comfortable with, or feel free to start a new one. I bet there will be others you can relate to your struggles. and it's much more fun to have folks to celebrate the mini-goals along the way ::yes::

Welcome to WISH!

I am so happy that you have found us! Look around, feel free to post on any thread. Everyone here is most friendly and supportive.

I'd suggest that you find a way to have many small steps to find success along the way. Make this journey into something positive. Try not to use that "D" word. Rather, I suggest to look at it as healthy fuel for your body. With your exercise, try to do something even if it is upperbody or floor work. You will find that a good thing as time goes.

You can do this!

:cheer2:

:welcome: Eeyores Butterfly.

If you are looking for support you have certainly come to the right place, there are a ton of WW members here and they are all willing to lend their support and encouragement. As ohMom said, there is a WW thread on this board, you may want to check it out and introduce yourself to the group.

I have had knee issues in the past, went through 4 months of physical therapy and when I couldn't do my regular exercising I switched to swimming and the recumbant bike because it was easier on the joints. Not sure if either is an option for you, but thought I would mention it just in case. Having a full schedule can be stressful and making eating healthier more difficult, however, I find planning in advance is the key to keeping me on track.

Welcome again and I hope that you find a comfortable fit here.

Tiggerlover: I noticed in your signature you follow Core. I'm wondering what your experiences are with it? I have tried it, but I get so bored and tend to want everything that is not on the list. I rarely last the week. How have you made it work for you?
