hello there only been reading this board for a week and have made a few posts which have been answered thankyou.

but what do all the ds and dd or dh stand for you all use

I am probably not the best person to answer as I never use abbreviations much, but....

dh = dear husband
ds = dear son
dd = dear daughter
dw = dear wife

I think there is a link somewhere on here for all of these , not sure where it is though.

I'm new to the board also. I did find an abbreviation list on one of the boards but I can't remember which one. DD I know stands for Disney or Darling or Dear Daughter, same for son (ds) and husband(dh). There are an enormous amount of abbreviations to learn!
