We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Is the bus transportation easy to use for Disney Springs and back?
Is it best to go to one of the Disney Springs resorts and walk to Disney Springs?

Bus transport from WL is very easy. You go to the buses and board the one that says Disney Springs. Voila! They come approx every 20 mins. On return you’ll wait at the bus stop labeled WL. (Your bus might share with another hotel like CR in which case both hotels will be listed at the same bus stop.)

If you don’t want to wait for a bus you can take a rideshare or a MinnieVan.

Yes, you can take it directly from Wilderness Lodge - all of the Disney buses pick you up at the same spot and there are monitors detailing the arrival times of each bus (I.e. Disney Springs, EPCOT, etc.)

Oops - you beat me to it!

Thank you! I am glad it's easy. now to get from airport to Disneyworld. ;)
I've been reading about that.

I’m getting so spoiled with trips to and from the airport since my niece started working for Disney last April. Usually her or her husband will give us a ride. Our April trip we used Lyft because they were working.

Wilderness Lodge and The Contemporary share a bus to and from Disney Springs. The Wilderness Lodge is the first resort to be picked up and dropped off. The load zone at The Springs to return to the resort is #7.

Just take the bus directly to Disney Springs from Wilderness Lodge. The waits aren't too bad.

And just as an FYI to add to the above - if you're ever wanting to get to Disney Springs direct from a theme park, the one resort that's attached to Disney Springs for easy walkability is Saratoga Springs - so just hop the Saratoga Springs bus, get off at the 4th stop (Congress Park), and walk over. Then you can take the Wilderness Lodge bus back from the Springs when you're ready to head 'home'.

This raises a question since it's been a while for me. At one time there was an experiment with a direct DS bus from DAK and maybe the Studios? Did that end?
Lunch at DS would be a lot easier without the need to transfer.

They used to have buses to DS from the park starting in the late afternoon but never came back after Covid. Easiest way to get to DS from the parks is going to Saratoga and walk over or if you’re near a resort like Beach Club from Epcot get the DS bus from the resort

Is Disney now charging for resort to park transportation?
No there is no charge to use Disney transportation. If you stay onsite, you can park at your resort for free and you can park in the park parking lots for free.

Once you’re on property, you’re considered a guest of the WDW Resort as a whole, so no charge for using Disney transportation. You pay for parking if you are not staying on site.

Can I go FROM Disney Springs TO a theme park? I have a Sunday brunch at Boathouse and want to go to the Studios for the afternoon. If I can't go to the theme park directly, what are my options... walk to Saratoga and bus from there, or boat to POFQ/OKW and bus from there?

You could take the bus from DS to Riviera, Pop or AoA and take the Skyliner to HS. I would not take CBR bus because how large it is. Alternative way is bus to Yacht, Beach or Boardwalk and walk or boat to HS.

Correct, there’s no direct transportation from DS to any theme park, so as you figured out you can walk to the SSR bus stop, boat to SSR, OKW, or POFQ/POR, or walk to the Disney resort bus stop and take a bus to CBR then the Skyliner from there.

Skippyboo posted simultaneously with me and is right, CBR is big. If you bus to RIV, AoA or Pop you’ll have to transfer to the DHS Skyliner at CBR, so might not make much difference. And I agree that you could bus from DHS to BW, BC or YC and walk or boat from there.

Personally I'd take the DS bus to Boardwalk, then walk over to DHS...it's pretty close. If walking wasn't your thing, you could take the boat over to DHS too.

I just wasn't sure if I could take a direct bus from the Springs to the Studios or if I'd have to transfer somewhere. I get it... they don't want offsite guests parking for free at the Springs to go to the theme parks.
