I am new to this board and would love some advice and/or support! I have yoyo-ed like most people but about 2 years ago I starting losing weight and as of last summer, had lost 35 lbs (yay!). But for various reasons (losing a good friend to cancer a year ago and losing my own father to cancer in December), life has derailed in the health front and I have managed to gain 10 lbs of that weight back. So my new goal is to lose that 10 and another 5. This may seem trivial to some who have larger goals, but the idea seems a bit daunting to me because even though I have gained some weight back, I don't think I have really gone THAT far off course foodwise or exercisewise. So my new plan is to eat less and work out more. Sure, it sounds like a simple plan but kinda hard for this chick!
So as of today I had a chicken ceasar salad for lunch and took the other half hour of lunch to walk around town (at a clip). I also plan to go to the gym tonight and do my usual 30-40 minutes on the elliptical. I feel like patting myself on the back for this small accomplishment and plan but I feel like I need some peer pressure to keep it up. Will you, my DIS friends, peer pressure me please?!
TIA and my best to all of you with your goals!!
