New to the board!

Hi all - I'm brand new here, and hoping to learn lots. I'm afraid some of the abbreviations have me confused Is there anywhere I can get some general info - maybe about the different types of sites? Thanks for your help!

Let's see we have for reward sites:
SR-Sunshine Rewards
QR-QuickRewards
CR-CreationsRewards
TT-Treasure Trooper
Then there is mypoints and a lot more.

Personally I like SR and Qr the best. QR pays very fast and SR does real well as well. They both have excellent customer service. The other sites are good fillers. You can shop through them for a percentage of what you spend going into your account. They also have paid clicks, games and paid offers to do. I joined in September and have made some good side money.

Then there are sites like netwinner that are just games sites that you can win money on. So many different things you can join!!

Good Luck and if you have any questions the disboards are a great place to go. You can also ask me anything as I love giving back what the others have given to me here.
Also another good site is comparerewards.com. They will give you an idea before you sign up what you may be getting into.

Welcome! I have learned so much here, and really have earned a significant amount of money by learning about Sunshine Rewards. I think I earned $500+ since I joined last April. Have fun!

WELCOME!! We are glad to have you. I find just signing up for a site that looks good to me works. I look for what shopping credits they offer is it where I shop online from? THen I come here to learn what offers are easy and quick money. I really perfer SR but also do QR(might become favorite, I just started with them), My Points and Ebates, which is just cash back on purchases. I do not make alot of money but it helps to have somewhere I can make a few extra dollars for the extras .

Thanks so much for all of the help already!! I've signed up to SR and QR (see, now I can abbreviate too ), so we'll see how that goes. I've been a member of Mypoints for quite some time - that was a big help in getting Rainforest Cafe gift cards for our most recent trip to WDW. That's what I plan on doing with any extra money I can earn - I'm a stay at home Mom, so if I can make a little extra to help save for a Disney trip, then FANTASTIC!! Every little bit helps, right?! Thanks again!!

Me to. I figure I can do these little things on the down time at home and I love surprising my hubby with how much I have made. This year I am saving for Christmas presents. He was not too happy with me last year. So this year I figure I will make all my money and then when it is gone it is gone. Next year though it will go right to WDW fund. So nice to make money. Plus for the longest time I didn't have a drivers license so I bought everything online. Now that I drive I still have the habit of buying online. At least since September I have gotten credit for that.

DH & I added up all the disney gift cards & dollars I earned from Sunshine so far since about late August- it's about $450! Well, $75 of that was a gift card I ordered thru the Disney website on SR, but then I got 8% back on that. We figure that is our food for 4 days of our trip!

Now I am saving for my next Disney trip already- I am going with some friends in June 2008 and I really want to spend as little as possible from our 'family' budget. My goal is to earn $700 thru Sunshine. I'm already at $10.

I do mypoints as well, but primarily just do their paid clicks & get credits for my Lands End & ebay orders, as Sunshine doesn't have them as someone to earn points with for ordering. But hey, I did earn $50 in Rain Forest gift cards just by doing that, so that's cool too.

These reward programs are AWESOME! I just wish I had found them sooner.

I signed up with SR in July, I think QR in August, & then MyPoints, TT in September, CR in August.

Anyway, for our January trip I had $900 in gift cards & Disney $ to spend on food & souvenirs--all from reward programs (SR, QR, & Disney Rewards VISA)

We drive down, so we also had cashed out for Marriott Gift Cheques from MyPoints & Greenpoints (through grocery store). We ended up staying at 2 very nice hotels for $20 1 night & $30 the other.

I've also cashed out quite a bit to Paypal through SR & QR--not sure the exact total, but over $200 with both combined.

This month at TT I reached the $500 mark--all checks.

I've also cashed out for $100 in Home Depot gift cards to redecorate a room in our house (MyPoints), $100 Target Gift (SR) for Christmas Presents, Best Buy Gift Cards & Barnes & Noble Gift Cards (QR & CR) for Christmas Gifts.

Not to mention the $30 in Lowes Gift Cards & $40 in Circuit City Gift Cards that came from some of the free trial offers I signed up for (& got points for).

AND--the book clubs & BMG type clubs I signed up for I made an additional profit on by selling those books/CDs on half.com

Wow--I guess I've really racked up in the past 6 months or so. I guess you can tell I love these reward programs!!! Now to save up for our next Disney trip . . . .

I have done MyPoints for a couple of years here and there and have cashed out for about $50 in Starbucks cards, $75 in Rainforest cards for Disney trips, $50 in Hyatt certificates to go towards a day room after our cruise last month, and $75 in webcertificates when that was an option which I spent on Disney gift cards and got a % back through SR.

Through SR between July and January I earned about $300 in Disney gift cards, and another $550 in Disney Visa rewards dollars. It was so nice to go to Disney with all our free spending money!

Like Alice28, I am going with just DD and a friend and her DD/DS this summer and want to use as little $ as possible from the family budget. I am up to over $100 since our last trip already. I love these programs!!!
