I am new to this community(mostly because I am absolutely not crafty). We are planning our first Disney cruise for Sept 2013. While reading up about that I came across the concept of Fish Extenders on Disney Cruise ships and it really inspired me to give crafting a shot. One thing I am looking into is embroidery. I love to personalize things. So think embroidery would be alot of fun. So my question is how hard is it for someone who can not sew to pick it up? I am thinking about purchasing the following machine and wonder if I will be able to use it?

It's going to be kind of difficult but you can do it. It would be really helpful if you have someone with sewing or embroidery experience who can help you or if you can take a beginners class some place. I say go for it. Just expect to make some mistakes and practice before you make your Fish Extender

I suggest using youtube for video help! They have tons of tips and how to videos on youtube. Take started classes and watch a couple of videos. Watch videos on different machines the how to hoop material, threading of the machine, applique and things like that and then make a decision on which one would be best for you I have a brother pe-780D I believe it is a brother disney machine.
