new to site, looking at booking for march 08

need to get prices to start saving, would like to stay onsite, would like to book direct but will look for travel operators prices as well, we are thinking of going march 08, as ds would be in year 2 at school and has sats, so school wouldn't like me if i took him out in april/may, have 3 young children, aged on travelling 3, 5, 7 and me and dh.

have priced up the walt disney hotel online, and it comes out at 2,125 dollars, which i think is wrong, but will try again later, won't need car hire, as don't plan on moving away from disney.

as we are a family of 5 would need a suite, i have heard pop century and all stars have family suites, but when pricing with tcd they say they don't.

i am getting confused.

We normally book a private villa offsite as it works out cheaper. Virgin Holidays seem to work out cheaper with their Flydrive packages in the long run and also rent villas with private pools. Which is ideal for families and you get the benefit of peace and quite if you need it.

As a family of 5 we always booked 2 adjoining rooms so we had 2 bathrooms - 5 in one bathroom seemed horrendous But you could consider a moderate eg POFQ as they will take 5 in a room.

We are a family of three but often take my parents and sisters too, we have stayed off site the last two years and it works out at about £1,000 for a villa with a pool and the drive to disney is only about 5 mins away.
We normally wait for the BA world sale offer to book flights etc.

A three bedroom villa does come with two bathrooms and a private pool and can sleep six to eight people.

I would certainly look at booking your accommodation yourself - as Kaylee suggests, Dreams Unlimited offer a great service. You will get your own personal agent who will look after some of your plans and even book your meal reservations (ADRs) for you if you want. They will also try and apply any discounts that become available after you book.

With 3 young children, staying on-site would be a great option. You will be able to hop back to the resort when the kids get too tired and have a nice siesta or dip in the resort pool

Also, take a look at getting at least one Annual Pass. It's possible to get a nice discount off your room rate with one.
